That is definitely the most obvious change I could make. One more devotion towards Erebos, plus flying. But that fact it can be tapped down, I don't know. There have been several matches where - had the Alms Beast been a Demon - it would have easily been tapped down and I wouldn't have been able to swing lethal, and perished next turn.

The fact it can be tapped down is why it fits. It requires the sacrifice of your opponents creatures in order to not get swatted in the face by 6 or 7 or 8 which is why once they start sacing they have to continue sacing or remove the demon. So for a 4 drop you get a 6/6 flying beast that acts as a form of removal.

exactly. Where I play it counts as a form of removal. Desecration Demon fits perfectly well

I'll keep it in my maybeboard until I can get a hold of a playset to test it out.

Read the Bones to smooth out draws and get card advantage?

I really really think that you should go ahead and add Precinct Captain and Desecration Demon they are just swell cards. I'm also thinking you should probably splash for charging badger when BTG comes out. Then you can go T1 soldier T2 precinct captain T3 soldier + precinct captain T4 badger + badger + badger + badger

I agree with daneski about Precinct Captain and Desecration Demon . Those cards are just too good for this deck to be left on the sidelinesI also suggest cutting one copy of Alms Beast . I too enjoy using him and Erebos, God of the Dead with each other, but he is not as threatening as an air attack from demon, and the fact that demon grows

Note comment 5. I don't have any copies of those cards sadly, but if I can get ahold of them I'll try it out.

I would put Desecration Demon in the main

Lol dane. Ill make sure to put the badgers on the maybeboard. Those guys go hard.

Sounds like fun, but I'm curious... now that you've mainboarded the Doom blades and Devour Flesh, under what condition would you side the High Priests back in? Versus Fiendslayer or Monoblack maybe?

Yeah Pseudolife, you pretty much hit it on the head. Mono-black and doom blades come out for High Priest. And if devour flesh is not working -- say a token deck or some sort of aggro -- the High Priests come in to help stall the board until I can stabilize. They are especially useful when there is a lot of hexproof and first strike on the board too.

My only issue with the deck is Gift of Immortality . Now, I love this card, but when my openning hand is 2 soldiers and a baron (along with immortality and land) I kinda start to hate seeing the card in my hand XD Other than that I really like the deck. It's similar to a deck I used to run, but mine was more aggro with Tormented Hero and Dark Favor to try to get in for early damage

Note HorrorAvengers that there are no Gift of Immortality , rather Gift of Orzhova . Is that what you were commenting upon?

January 27, 2014 9:29 p.m.

Pseudolife says... #19

I think so since they both can't be enchanted with Gift of Orzhova .

I will say that does get a little bit annoying, yet I don't often have that problem. Soldier of the Pantheon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa have built in evasion (protection from multi-colored and black/white respectively), the gift is often reserved for Alms Beast , and is incredibly deadly if enchanted on a devoted Erebos, God of the Dead .

This deck looks like a blast to play and something similar to what I'm working on atm. Since you've clearly had success with it would you mind tossing some advice my way?

Leah, gift of orzhova. Idk that that was, my bad XD

Supanova200- It is incredibly fun. The matches I've had with this deck have rarely been boring. Plus it's always fun to play Orzhov, I just don't see much of it around and not to mention it's my favorite guild.

With Born of the God's coming out i suggest Revoke Existence against those nasty Gods.

This deck absolutely beats my new Obedience deck, every time. I came close to being one turn away for a win, but the removal is just too much.

+1
