Gamered: Thanks man! I haven't been hit with an Hour of Devastation yet - it seems lackluster in most metas of EDH tbh - but I only need a +2 boost to toughness for Avacyn to survive. If it becomes a major problem, though, I may need to start running a Ghostway effect or two ;)
Casey4321: Yeah, I looked into it, but it was just too much mana to work for me. I just cut Chaos Warp, so at the least I should add that back in beforehand...Thanks for the comment, though! ;)

+1 Nice! Looks really strong. Not sure what I could contribute here that you probably haven't already thought of. Maybe some way to flicker avacyn if you don't have one already?
I'm new to the format.

+1 I recently bought this deck after playing it online for a while, and wanted to share my experience. It's a very solid deck, and I find it very fun to pilot.
I did switch a couple of cards. I wanted some more enchantments and wincons, especially because the blue guys hardly ever focus on me. Chaos Warp -> Luminarch Ascension, Memory Jar -> Possibility Storm, Static Orb -> Assemble the Legion, Quicksmith Rebel -> Academy Rector,
Would love to hear your opinion on these switches!

Polupus: Thanks for the +1 and comment! :) I used to play Cloudshift in here, but I eventually swapped it for the much more unconditional indestructible of Boros Charm.
maybeJester: I think your switches make it a bit more midrange, which is not the direction I went, but they make sense :) Personally, I adore Static Orb, but once you've cut it, it makes sense to remove Quicksmith Rebel. What's Academy Rector searching for? You could add Eldrazi Conscription as a nasty surprise...

Daedalus19876: Well, with the addition to the new enchantments and preexisting ones Academy Rector just made sense.
Eldrazi Conscription would be a nasty surprise! What would you suggest replacing for it?

maybeJester: If you're going more midrange, perhaps Winter Orb?

Daedalus19876: Hmm, I think I'd rather keep some of the control. I did remove the Static Orb, but with the addition of Possibility Storm it still keeps some control aspect. Any other suggestion?
Also, if you ever get a hold of a Mishra's Workshop that'd be sweet!

Hey man, I am currently LOVING this Madvacyn deck. The flavor is off the charts and I've won plenty a playgroup games with it (just missing a Plateau, dangit!)
Anyways, I'm currently looking to fine tune the deck to my more midrange/control playstyle, with a bit more 'walkers and stuff. What are the changes you'd make to the list in such a case? Or is blistering aggro the only competitive route for our Purifier?
Keep on rocking :)

JankimusPrime: Thank you! I'm so glad that this deck is serving you well!
I'm at work currently (on lunch break), but I'll give you a more detailed rundown of how I'd try to play a midrange version when I get off work :)
And if you like the deck, you are always welcome to +1 it! ;)

JankimusPrime: Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you! Things got really complicated really fast :(
I do think that Avacyn is best as a fast Voltron list, simply because she's not QUITE as impactful as you'd want for a midrange control-ish commander. But she can definitely function in that role! :)
If you wanted to go that way, you could add more equipment that gives deathtouch or lifelink. Quietus Spike would also be pretty awesome in a slightly slower build.
You could also run some cards like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight to bias combat and damage in your direction, and some blink cards like Cloudshift to blink Avacyn to grant indestructible to your field :)
I also know a guy who plays Final Fortune/Glorious End+Angel's Grace to tutor for them with Sunforger, hehe.
I hope that helps!

I'm thinking of tweeking this list by swapping out avacyn for Akiri, Line-Slinger and maybe Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder for the partner, though he in all likelihood is simply going to be omitted.
I mean, naturally i'm going to swap out most of the creatures and such for artifact ones, and some exalted stuff like Battlegrace Angel, Knight of Glory, and Aven Squire

Now that I've compiled a complete beta test list, could I get your opinion?
Akiri, line-slinger assault please excuse the not witty title

feyn_do_alduin: I'll come by and give it a quick look. Work has been brutal lately, though, so I haven't been online much, sorry :(

JankimusPrime: If you're looking to adjust this into midrange/control, the new Teferi's Protection spell is right up your alley!
I'm considering it in by build as well :) Thoughts?

you know, the cats deck has two new really cool pieces of equipment that's worth investing in!
the first, hammer of such and such, auto equips on ETB and makes it so other equipment do the same
The next one is an axe that clones itself on attack! gives +2/+0 equip 1* (needs confirmation) and each clone his an exact copy of the first including the cloning ability

feyn_do_alduin: I don't think I'm going to use the auto-equip hammer (too much mana for its effect), but I love that cloning axe!
August 13, 2017 12:05 p.m.
feyn_do_alduin says... #20
what do you mean? it auto equips itself. and every piece of equipment you cast after it, whether its attached or not, for 4c. not at all too much mana imho.

feyn_do_alduin: Sure, but Puresteel Paladin and Sigarda's Aid do it much better. And I don't think the +2/indestructible is extremely good (given that it's 4 to reequip after the first time), but we'll see.
I adore the Bloodforged War Axe with Puresteel Paladin tho!

feyn_do_alduin says... #22
lol i agree on the synergy of Puresteel Paladin and bloodforged axe! but the same synergy exists between the hammer and the axe, infact it's better in that the hammer forces equiping at instant speed at no additional charge, in the same way Sigarda's Aid does
I, for one, am certain to attempt running both. because on their own, each is really good. together, it's nuts.

Thoughts on Darksteel Plate over Inquisitors Flail(or another equip)? Or do you find you have enough protection for Avacyn from the two hexproof artifacts/pumping her up.
August 15, 2017 1:09 a.m.
i see a mox opal in your deck is it maybe also intresting for the people who want to play this deck to play a chrome mox ?

Agieryna: I've...considered it before. It used to be in the deck, but it was pretty slow - it doesn't matter if Avacyn survives if I die to a combo, after all. So I pulled it out. If I was going to make this into more a midrange control list, I'd windmill-slam it in ;) I do have some good protection (Mother of Runes and friends) in addition to the hexproof, though.
TzickyT: Honestly, I'm not a fan of Chrome Mox outside of fast combo decks. The loss of card advantage is BRUTAL in Boros colors...I would not suggest that substitution unless you're very, very desperate.

Have you considered Cast Out
