I thought it would have been labeled as colorless in the rulings guess I was wrong =/

i did maybe a few changes on your deck but i m wondering if my changes are decent enough between your deck and mine? ATP copy from Daedalus19876

basicly its almost the same deck but just a few other cards

gdm1989: Unfortunately for Elbrus, the Binding Blade  Flip, color identity is the union of the color identities of the two sides of a Double Faced Card. Same as Avacyn, actually - she's Boros because of her back side, and Elbrus is black for the same reason. (To be clear, this is color identity, not color.)

TzickyT: Those seem like pretty decent changes :) Wheel of Fortune has gotten less affordable over time. Scroll Rack is great with Land Tax, obviously, but I understand if you want something more Equipment-focussed in its place. And I really do like Elspeth, Knight-Errant, but the removal given by Nahiri, the Harbinger is very handy.

Hi Daedalus19876,

This is my dream deck since the first time i found this in TappedOut almost a years ago, i'm always wish to build this deck in one day and my dream comes true on last month, after i'm try on this deck and what that i'm feel is this deck is so COMPETITIVE(or IMBA!?) and i'm just like 1vs3 in a multiplayer game and still able to dominate the game... xD

Thanks for making this deck and i'm appreciated. I'm believe this will always be the TOP - Boros Avacyn - deck in TappedOut!

After reading the comment above, i'm want to ask your opinion for swap Memory Jar to Reforge the SoulBoth cost same mana cost but for Reforge the Soul i don't have to discard the card i draw when at the end of turn, so do you think is it Reforge the Soul is better than Memory Jar?

AioriaxWingz: I'm so glad that I could inspire you!! Did you build the deck identically to mine? If not, I'd love to hear your thoughts about changes :)

I think this will forever be the top Boros Avacyn deck on T/O :D In fact, it's currently the 7th highest EDH deck of all time, and nearly overtaking the 6th!!

Re:Memory Jar/Reforge the Soul - I do prefer Memory Jar somewhat, because I can usually cast the whole new hand in one turn while my opponents don't actually get any value. The issue with Wheels in general is that you give your opponents advantage as well as getting your own cards, and Memory Jar avoids this.

Hope that helps explain :)

you know, after extensive play ive discovered numerous absurd ways of dealing high damage within the early turns. I was playing against a ydris deck last night, and booped him for 18 damage on T5, forcing him to bloat his board with non-sense.

I think there's something to be said about psychological warfare and it's effectiveness in disrupting/pressuring your opponents

My - Issues i had with the deck ( at my place )

Mostly i only drew Equipments and when i drew a creature it was eitherway blown up or gone with the wind when i was attacking. poorly enough much exile and -1/-1 players at my locals that night

  • in the games i played i felt like i wasn't getting any creatures out with the problem of above. so when i had Sunforger on the field and could make it work to go off it was basicly useless couse totaly no protection in the later game i had from it

  • also the feeling i have to concider is maybe putting in Heliod, God of the Sun to basicly have at least one creature on the field that can do something.

  • Also i myself started to run both Nahiri and Elspeth. couse both are basicly verry important in my oppinion in the deck. they die fast but its possible to keep a steady space between my planeswakers and my lifepoints.

  • pretty hard considering Chaos Warp in the deck to basicly have some more protection to the deck

I know you have a lot of experience playing the deck at this point, so this suggestion might be easily countered.

I noticed you have a few wheels and 20+% artifacts in the deck, why not scrap mastery? Or if they wipe the board it's too late at that point?

feyn_do_alduin: I agree! This deck can be very, very aggressive (and terrifying to play against). I've hit people for 36 damage on T3 before - there's a reason that, while this isn't my most competitive deck, it's certainly my most feared at my LGS.

TzickyT: Yeah, I'm afraid that's a classic problem with voltron decks. If you don't have a creature to suit up, your equipment sits around being sad. You could try Haunted Plate Mail or something, or something like Mobilization (which I think is better than Heliod) if you have problems with this a lot.

Gearlyons: Honestly? I've considered it before, and played it for a while. It's not currently in the list because I find it slightly situational, but I could definitely see the case for its inclusion :) What would you cut for it?

I haven't checked to see if anyone else has suggested this, but have you considered running Trading Post? It's got extreme versatility and does a lot of things that really help you

Also with Inspiring Statuary, your equipment will all be turned into mana rocks, and you can do some funky shenanigans with Static Orb

Has anyone else suggested either Strip Mine or Dust Bowl? Land hate can be important

Ocelot44: While I do like the "return target artifact from GY to hand" mode from Trading Post, I think that it's just too slow for the deck.

I used to run Inspiring Statuary for exactly that effect, hehe, but I did find it to be too inconsistent. In particular, most of the spells with large colorless costs are artifacts themselves, meaning I can't cast them with improvise :(

I probably could use a Strip Mine and Wasteland here, come to think of it...

I'm planning on making my own Avacyn deck, any pointers or staple cards I should use?

Also, I'm your 500th upvote! Congrats!

I've no idea if this will Work or if it's already been suggested but I would recommend a couple of flicker effects to reset Avacyn and or make stuff indestructible again.

Mardu_Maniac: Thank you for the numerically-significant upvote! :) I'd say that the essential features of the deck are fast mana ramp, self-sacrificing creatures, and good voltron equipment ;) I chose what I considered to be the best options, but just make sure you get a good balance of keywords, card selection, power boosting, etc.

amicdeep: I've definitely considered it, but it's not really the strategy this deck wants to go with, since it unequips everything from my commander :(

December 18, 2017 5:17 p.m.

I don't know what to suggest for this deck, as nothing I can think of would really work here. It's a fantastic deck! Definite thumbs up!

Hi SaifurCommander

Ya, you're right!! This is a super AMAZING deck. Thx to Daedalus19876

Try imagine if you cast Gift of Immortality on Hope of Ghirapur then keep whack blue player, or cast it on Kami of False Hope against a heavy creature deck, then look at your opponent's hopeless face.. XD

Sometimes you even can kill all the opponent with commander damage in a single turn by playing Sword of Feast and Famine and Seize the Day

OMG, i'm feel so guilty when i recall back, this deck just gain so much of hated. XD

AioriaxWingz: Yeah, this deck is super fun and versatile, haha. People forget how silly Gift of Immortality and Sword of Feast and Famine are, heh. I'm so glad you like the deck!!

Hey! I just built the shell for this deck. First game I flash in Avacyn on their end step, cast Grafted Exoskeleton, swing for 6, and my opponent scoops. Second game I blocked Atraxa with Avacyn, suited her up with Godsend and Inquisitor's Flail, transform her with Benevolent Bodyguard, and smash in for 18 commander damage. I think I'm going to enjoy this deck.

Question I think I know the answer to: in a metal with at least 4 Urborg/Cabal Coffers, how do you feel about Kormus Bell?

January 27, 2018 9:37 a.m.

Daedalus19876 says... #22

MrSuffix: I'm glad that you like the deck! I find it to be a very fun twist on the Voltron archetype, since Avacyn's flip can also play like midgame control.

In answer to your question about Kormus Bell - It's definitely not BAD in that meta, but I'd play Armageddon and Cataclysm before I played it...

January 27, 2018 10:48 a.m.

MrSuffix says... #23

I kept trying to justify Kormus Bell by saying "Avacyn's flip will kill all the lands!" But Armageddon and Cataclysm do that for the same price.

It's been awhile since I've felt really excited about playing commander, but this deck did it for me. Thanks so much for building it and posting its progression!
