JundGrixisNayaBantEsper thanks for liking the deck! Also where would you put Tasigur, the Golden Fang in? I have 3 just idk how I would fit him in and not have to tweak the mana base accordingly. But I'm glad you like itAlso a question for you JakeHarlow and scrotality.
With junk/abzan being on the loose with Siege Rhino do you thing wizards will unban Bloodbraid Elf? And here's my logic behind it. 1.elf is a 3/2 haste for 4 rhino is a 4/5 trampler2. Elf has cascade and no longer can give you Deathrite Shaman but is random in what you land. Rhino is always a Lightning Helix3. With out having shaman elf simply is not the scary monster she was. Rhino is simply a powerhouse.
What do you guys think? Will she get off the list now that the real problem (DRS) was removed and pod has been banned?

I'm convinced. Unban Bloodbraid Elf!
Nice changes, by the way. Great build. Goyf-less and Lily-less Jund is for cool kids.

Lol thanks JakeHarlow I definitly like this deck a lot just i know with out goyf it's going to be tough. I can manage not have lily but goyf and bob are tough working with out

That is true. The premium Jund mirror is going to be difficult for you. But I still think this is a strong list.

Definitly true lol. JakeHarlow so do you think golden fang would belong in here? If so where would you cut to get him his slot in the deck. I have 3
scrotality do you think I should as well? And what's your opinion of bbe getting unbanned?

How has Quirion Dryad worked for you? You could replace her with Tasigur.

JundGrixisNayaBantEsper Acually Quirion Dryad has done rather well. She typically can become 3/3-5/5 before people remove her and can swing for a good amount of power due to that. I'm debating if young pyro should go though and I just up the swamp count by 1 while taking out a Marsh Flats

Great deck Jamesfurrow! So far I have been looking to get into modern (being a more standard player) and I fell in love with cascade so I shifted towards jund but, with no more elf and how expensive decks are (being a huge budget player), I really love the idea of using Quirion Dryad. I mean the card is a quater vs some $200 monster! I have been wanting to apply Huntmaster of the Fells Flip to decks as well because I just thought of him being awesome. Haha so you really inspired me! I am thinking about running Thragtusk or even Obstinate Baloth because I see both as a way to compete with Siege Rhino and Obstinate Baloth basically laughs at discard effects.

JakeKita I'm so happy I was able to inspire you!! And both of those were cards I myself been considering due to how life draining this deck can be. And modern is an expensive to enter format but I find to be a very fun one to play. Anyways I hope this deck can put out results and do good

What do you feel is a big draw back to not running them?
February 20, 2015 9:06 p.m.
Jamesfurrow says... #13
JakeKita the main concern is that their so late game and with no real way to ramp into them it's a challenge. Their both capable choices but to have to hold out until they resolve is a challenge in the modern format (you don't always hit your land drops or enough of the color desired) which can cause problems. Also vs a blue deck they will have almost certainly counter magic ready for such bombs to being casted And you simply then have to hope you are in the upper hand when they land

JakeHarlow scrotality JundGrixisNayaBantEsper ThatJunkMage and JakeKita I've worked on the deck a tiny bit and it Acually changed how it runs quite a bit!!

It's pretty nice! That trio of Tasigur, the Golden Fang is very nice.

Awesome synergy with Tasigur, the Golden Fang and Scavenging Ooze.

JakeHarlow and JakeKita ooze and tasigur work very well togeather. I'm considering adding an ooze and dropping a Quirion Dryad because of it. Definitly don't need Dark Confidant in this build. The deck is suicidal enough as it is with all the shock/fecthing and Thoughtseize being mainboarded. Bob would simply put my life at too much risk even with hunt and courser being pro life

Scavenging Ooze is your Tarmogoyf replacement! That is if you run four. scooze eats tarmogoyf for breakfast.

Hi :) I'm far from an expert on Jund, but some decks I've seen run Chandra, Pyromaster and Garruk Wildspeaker to great effect. I'm also wondering if running so many 5-drops is wise, and perhaps it would be better to up the Scavenging Oozes to a 4-of?
February 23, 2015 9 a.m.
Jamesfurrow says... #21
masada631 I'll definitly consider Garruk and Chandra since I already own 2 Chandra especially. Though to regards of my 5 drops I only run 4 and Tasigur, the Golden Fang always comes out for less than what he Acually is due to delve. And I've been considering upping Scavenging Ooze to a three of because he's not a card I absolutely need to have out right away. I'd probally bring the decay count to 3 for him. Though curious what would you move around for Chandra or garruk?

I really like this list! Tasigur, the Golden Fang is a amazing card and worth all the value he is. Amazing in Standard and Modern! He can be B easily if you dump your hand quickly. I was actually using him in Grixis Delver before PT but now Cruise is gone and Delver power has decreased. So I play burn (here's the link: Chandras Favorite Bolts! (Mardu Burn!). Please comment!) and so far from testing it's been pretty good. Garruk and Chandra could do some good in this build. To help with burn Obstinate Baloth is very good in that matchup.
February 23, 2015 6:06 p.m.
JundGrixisNayaBantEsper thanks for liking the build! Also I haven't had to much trouble with burn due to how it's not able to last when you land a huntsmaster and start gaining off courser. But what would you move for Chandra?? I don't know what would be taken out for her. I guess I could one of each dragon but is that the right thing? Cause I don't need blightning or anger.

I just noticed no Liliana of the Veil! Is there some hidden reason, or is it just too expensive?

lol I feel like an idiot I just read that it says budget
JundGrixisNayaBantEsper says... #1
Sorry Jamesfurrow. I have been playing and testing with standard AND modern a ton and making many switches.
Anyway I absolutely LOVE Jund archetypes. +1 from me! I agree with the Tasigur comment and he is literally a black version of Tarmo. Also a fun Modern card for G/x decks are Golgari Grave-Troll. He was just unbanned to he may prove some power. He also pumps grave for Murderous Cut/Tasigur, the Golden Fang to be cheap.
