Mr. James got some sideboard questions for you. Just about ready for my first online tourney!
But I believe my sideboard (and maybe mainboard) needs a tweak for the meta. This is what's winning:
- U/R Aggro
- Junk
And to a lesser extent:
- Twin
- Affinity
With that being said what's your take on SB and/or MB options? Thanks once again!

Ok so probally Duress and Krosan Grip won't be needed for you in these match ups because you have plenty of anti aggro and twin isn't really a problem for us. Id probally switch those 3 slots with 2 Olivia Voldaren and a Surgical Extraction because belive completely severing the chance of the card entering will shut down junk staples like Siege Rhino while olivia will simply steal their threats and make herself a bigger monster to fear in the process.

UR aggro ( I assume delver)) usually just loses when you resolve a big threat and kill their (few) creatures. Volcanic Fallout is the best card vs UR aggro.
Vs abzan, a strong board presence and a planeswalker will be the most important factor. You probably have 50/50 chance in this.
Twin: just hold up removal.
Affinity: will take Creeping Corrosion and Ancient Grudge to beat, followed with efficient creatures (tasigur).

Jamesfurrow Once again great suggestions and thanks for taking time to respond! Ok, Olivia makes sense now. I was really scared of Junk. The match ups seemed like every one would be a grudge match. Which I'm sure they will at 50/50 outcomes.
I'll have to with Extirpate instead of Surgical Extraction. Card is insanely priced.
pumpkinwavy Thank you also. I thought Volcanic Fallout would be for Delver. I have also wondered if Creeping Corrosion was a must in SB.

How should I sideboard out my maindeck with each opponent deck respectively?
FYI: I've actually been playing on and off since SAGA block! Yet I have very little experience with sideboard vs. mainboards in tourneys. I've almost always kept it casual. So all these tips are really helping the learning curve.
No matter how much I've studied and had play experience with Magic it seems like there's always something radically new I must understand if I want to be ultra-competitive. Wow!

You won't be needing creeping or shatter storm because you have Anger of the Gods and Volcanic Fallout wrecking them fairly easy for affinity.
Ok sideboarding vs JUNK is your hardest match up
Take out every single hand disruption spell you run mainboard because this is a battle of attrition and awnsers. He's got rhino. You have olivia. He's got Path to Exile you have Lightning Bolt. You want more awnsers than disruption because both of you are going to end up top decking and you simply need the better top deck more often.
-3 thoughtseize and -2 inquisition for 2 olivia's 2 Extirpate and a second pulse. That should give you board control and able to rip out all his copies of rhino and lingering souls
Affinity isn't too too rough a match up because of the spot removal count we have as it is. You typically will though take out Dismember for Volcanic Fallout so you have more wrath kill. You can also take out Terminate for Destructive Revelry and both of your Rakdos Charm since they can both cause damage and remove threats just as effective as terminate but better
Delver you don't need Dismember or Maelstrom Pulse if their not going the token route Anger of the Gods can also be taken out (rarely do you face delver tokens) so you take those out for Thoughtseize and Volcanic Fallout or Duress if you don't feel you need the wrath due to them having a constant low board state.
Twin is fairly simple and almost requires no boarding because we are favored as it is. You would most likely remove Maelstrom Pulse and Dismember for Rakdos Charm and both of your Volcanic Fallouts for that instance of them comboing out or attempting to. Also would remove Anger of the Gods and Maelstrom Pulse due to them being sorcery and won't stop the instant speed swarm ready to hit you.
I hope these in general help you see where these cards shine and why you take them out over other cards

Yes. Very thorough break down. I feel a lot more confident for battle. I played Twin the other day. Was dissolving his deck so badly to quit game 1. And no he simply couldn't do anything about Abrupt Decay. It's nice to know there's really nothing they can unless something freak happens.
Then I played a Primeval Titan ramp deck of some sort. It was powerful but I simply waxed his Titans and sideboarded Olivia. 2-1.

BigFace that is great to hear! I'm happy I was able to help you with sideboarding! And knowing how to sideboard really does change how you play. Also how you do like the play style of jund? This isn't too slow for your liking? The deck not of a win con don't desire? I highly enjoy playing this deck and mirror mathes/ junk mathes make for some of the best games I've played.

Hi there, I don't know if I ever suggested to you Sowing Salt. I usually suggest it for SB tech for most red-bearing decks. It is so broken and useful for crippling most modern decks. I'm looking at you, tron. That said, I know your deck is pretty tuned already. Oh, and PS, have another look at my 4c Loam Pox. I updated it, finally. You already know I love your deck.

malfeischylde I Acually been looking at my sideboard and considering taking out some stuff and putting in others. I feel I have too much affinity hate so I'll probally get sowing salt in there once I get 1-2. Also I'm more than willing to take a look at the deck. Just when I clicked the link it said the deck could not be found.
So did you by any chance spell the deck name inccorectly? Or did you remove it and not realize it?

I think I tried to cut/paste the link. Oops. Modern Midrange Loam Pox 4c . Here you go, and thanks!

Jamesfurrow Me and Jund have always had a love/hate relationship. I hate playing against it so I thought if I played it I might get something out of it. I generally don't like decks that overload on control (like white/blue control). I prefer more of a creature base (like Selesya creatures). I thought Jund would be the middle ground.
I started my budget Jund deck with some Young Pyromancer/Night's Whisper/Garruk Wildspeaker theme. Realizing it wasn't working I thought I'd invest money into one deck I could go to a tourney and have a shot at competing. But with no Veils and Goyfs I gave up... until I found your deck!
After selling off cards I didn't think I'd want I finally loaded up to your identical deck (with a couple personal tweaks). It's too early to say exactly but I have a feeling it might be a little tedious for me. :/
I may change my mind after getting more tourney practice in. It felt nice man handling my opponents so far!

BigFace I completely can relate to where your at. I at first thought 12 creatures....that's to low. But after playing I realized that was a golden number for this awnsers all style deck. I understand wanting to be creature heavy trust me I do. I have a creatureless usa deck I play agaisnt this one and its a fairly intresting match up.
Anyways if you feel you need this more creature heavy you can always cut out dismember for more ooze. I personally prefer remove over swarm. Cause if I can sit on one guy who will fairly quickly end it while I have awnsers in hand I enjoy that your at my will of allowance and I'm not at the mercy of your board state regardless of how large it is because of how many ways I can interact with you on your turn.
April 12, 2015 5:50 p.m.
Agreed on your points. And yes, I had put and extra Ooze in for Dismember. It's working out well.
Idk about Fire-Lit Thicket just yet. Probably will take it out for a Stomping Ground ect. Another land tweak is 4x Bloodstained Mire and 2x Blood Crypt. Is there any reason why you haven't done that? (land Golden Fang quicker)
Also +1 Treetop Village for a Forest. (creatures, creatures, creatures)

I prefer the 7 fetch 8 shock ratio BigFace and I also have my basics to help prevent Blood Moon and Path to Exile from wrecking me. If I can get a basic and still be able to now decay my problem well good for me and thank you for wrecking our own mana of ur not mono red or blue moon. And I understand treetop but I don't want my mana to be too greedy as I still need to be able to cast on turn and the man lands are more for pushing out that little extra damage I needto close a game or if I'm getting flooded with mana and have nothing I can do at the moment
April 12, 2015 9:06 p.m.
Didn't see your last response because of the clean-up. I don't know how to view it.
Quick question further on the lands. Do you run into mana problems getting that 4th land? Which is surely required to win a game. I often watch my blood boil as I sit on 3 lands until turn 5-6.
For this reason I took out Fire-Lit Thicket for a Stomping Ground and considering taking out 1 Treetop Village like yourself.

Jamesfurrow says... #18
BigFacei typically don't get that 4 mana problem. With the fetches and shocks able to easily be found and shuffle my deck I can more often then not "reset" the chances of drawing lands and hopefully break up and clumps. And the times im only on 3 lands for a little bit is fine because I have so many 2 and 1 drops I can stall you and still be able to get out at least a tasigur
April 15, 2015 6:08 a.m.
You also have courser which can help enormously in cycling through the deck. I also play 24 lands and run into problems reaching the 4th land very rarely.
In fact if you look at the statistics you are likely to have 4 lands by T4 in a deck with 24 lands total. 24 lands out of 60 cards = 40% lands. Assume you have 10 cards by T4 (opening hand of 7 and then 3 draws). 10 x 40% = 4. You should have exactly 4 lands by T4.
April 15, 2015 6:35 a.m.
Ok, got ya. After writing my comments I wondered if I was having a bad couple of nights. I was scratching my head thinking, "I do have 24 lands in here, right?"
But breaking up the clumps with fetches helps, too.

Jamesfurrow says... #21
Yea BigFace the land clumping is a thing but as chief mentioned earlier statisticly you shouldn't have mana problems majority of the time.
ChiefBell how you been? I wanted ask you based on my local area of my sideboard would need tweaks
Decks that are played currently are
1.affinity (their not the best pilots and I don't even have to board cause of it)
Boggles
Usa tempo
4.tri/duel color burn
5.the lone abzan
6.the next to never apearing tron
Theirs also some aether vial decks of green white and a death & taxes deck in my store. Based on this list how would tweak the sideboard if you would bother tweaking it?
April 19, 2015 10:58 a.m.
Affinity: Creeping Corrosion, Shattering Spree, Shatterstorm, Destructive Revelry.
Boggles: Cruel Edict, Geth's Verdict. Use Abrupt Decay to kill enchantments.
Tempo: Abrupt Decay is fine against tempo. Thrun, the Last Troll if the game goes long. Should be easy matchup anyway.
Burn: Feed the Clan, Kitchen Finks, Obstinate Baloth. Maybe Dragon's Claw or something.
Abzan: Damnation, Roast? Unsure about that. Terminate, Fulminator Mage.
Tron: You're screwed. Tectonic Edge, Fulminator Mage, Maelstrom Pulse

Sorry for not replying right away ChiefBell but thank you very much for giving me a list of cards to use for those match ups! I was considering Extirpate as a a follow up in tron matches so I could cripple any artifacts or copies of their lands I don't want to be seeing. Would you think Sowing Salt be a worthy canidate for my deck's sideboard? It can really screw up the mana base for tron and even abzan
April 20, 2015 11:23 p.m.
Sowing salt is a little slow but really effective if you can get it to work.
April 21, 2015 5:36 a.m.
Is there a big reason to not run Thundermaw Hellkite over Stormbreath Dragon? Is it the fact that the latter is immune to Path to Exile?
Jamesfurrow says... #1
BigFace filter lands are very nice. They are definitly worth using when your needing double colors. But remember shocks do that as well through fetching. You can't fetch them like a shock. I definitely like filter lands just be careful on the ratio with them. You have to balance your mana carefully.
