@essiga9 -- Sonofabitch! I absolutely need Garruk Relentless Flip in this deck. Hands down. Phyrexian Altar is always sexy, but a bit out of current price range. Still saving for a Dark Depths for my Zombie-Milhouse deck. That being said, Ashnod's Altar is entirely what the good doctor ordered! And Flesh-Eater Imp is a sick, little sick critter! Fun win conditioning!
Thanks for the suggestions!!

you realize Howl of the Night Pack works with lands that are actually forests not just a land that can tap for forest you only have 4x forests in your deck so you might want to take that card out
May 29, 2014 7:59 a.m.
@mrtibbs24 -- Actually, I do realize that. When Howl of the Night Pack is combined with Life and Limb , it can produce quite a pack more of wolfs than is directly obvious. Especially with Primal Vigor and Parallel Lives ! XD
Thanks for looking out, though!

Unless it's a combo piece, I suggest you make sure whatever you put in will be awesome if you top deck it in the worst situation possible. There are plenty of cheaper token producers that are more efficient by themselves than your Howl of the Night Pack . If I were you, I would definitely look for something better. Maybe Chancellor of the Forge ? Imagine top decking howl of the night pack late game with only 2 forests and no other synergy pieces, as they're likely to get shot real quick. Not helpful. Chancellor though, he could always help.
May 29, 2014 3:15 p.m.
@IamtheThorne -- Although the Saprolings are likely (very likely) to be picked off pretty fast, the idea is to make so many of them that, unless they have a ton of board wipes, will always be an issue for the opponent.
I can see Chancellor of the Forge going in this deck, along with others like them. It's going to become a battle for sacrificial superiority when it comes to switching cards and moving things around.
Thanks for the idea!
@ EVERYONE -- Suggestions on what to take out and what to replace with? My limit is $10/card. With the exception of Doubling Season , which is on my ToBuy list.

I have a similar deck except it's Grixis. Check it out:

Have you considered Leyline of the Void ? From experience, I can say that if you play against reanimator, dredge, or scavenge decks, this type of deck can actually help them out.
June 14, 2014 11:36 p.m.
@ljs54321 -- Actually, since it doesn't keep ME from reanimating with creatures like Champion of Stray Souls and Gleancrawler , that's a terrific addition! I'm going to put the order in for that asap! Thanks!
June 14, 2014 11:39 p.m.
It's been pretty helpful for me, but I will warn you that it draws a lot of hate...especially when you get it opening hand and get to start the game with it out. Check out Hey look! A flying squirrel! to see if you can get any other ideas for sac outlets, etc.
June 14, 2014 11:48 p.m.
@ljs54321 -- Dat mana base, though!!! I don't think I'll ever have the cash to cough up for a Badlands or mana of the like...
Brawn and cards like it are genius to put into a sac/self-discard deck, but I don't know about putting them in mine. Too many token producers and sacing them just makes the rest of my creatures go to work.
Elvish Piper is insanely badass for the price of the card! I need to grab one of those for almost every deck with high cmc cost creatures. Lifeline is another one I'd like to get a hold of. As well as Signal the Clans , that's a really awesome card for a 2 mana drop!!
+1 to your deck!

Below is a list of cards that I run in my shattergang brothers deck (which has not been updated on here, but you can look at the old deck here:Sac That **** ), the cards range in price from less than $1 to about $20 or so:
Demonic Tutor
- makes deck more consistent
Worldly Tutor
- makes deck more consistent
Skullclamp
- card draw
Mimic Vat
- token gen
Skirsdag High Priest
- token gen
Oversold Cemetery
- recursion
Reassembling Skeleton
- recursion
Creakwood Liege
- token gen
Nether Traitor
- recursion
Rancor
- gives prosh trample, and a recursion for shatterbrothers
Illusionist's Bracers
- double an activated ability
Fauna Shaman
- get the creature you need
Squee, Goblin Nabob
- recursion
Krenko, Mob Boss
token gen
Garruk, Primal Hunter
- token gen / card draw
Buried Alive
- if you have creatures that recur from grave yard, go search
Haunted Crossroads
- recursion
Deathrender
- lets you drop high cost creatures for the price of using sac outlet
Eldrazi Monument
- buffs all your creatures for the cost of 1 token per turn
Kresh the Bloodbraided
- gets big in a sac deck
Lumberknot
- gets big in a sac deck
Squirrel Nest
- token gen
June 15, 2014 11:22 p.m.
I recommend Dictate of Erebos
over grave pact, as it requires less black mana.
Take out Earth Surge
Howl of the Night Pack
and Dark Heart of the Wood
- are not very good when you only have 4 forest in the deck.
Fecundity
can help out your opponents too much
Rogue's Passage
would help get prossh, or your assassin tokens through...
might want to up your mana sources if you find you are not getting enough since your curve is pretty high....

@pskinn01 -- Skullclamp , Mimic Vat , and Creakwood Liege are cards I'm desperately trying to find / trade for.
Eldrazi Monument is currently in my Zombie deck, but I'd much rather move it over into this deck, as the sacing in this deck is kind of the goal. Whereas my Zombie deck is mill oreintated.
Garruk, Primal Hunter is awesome, but I just put the order in for Garruk Relentless Flip , and I feel he's a better fit in this deck. He puts out some tokens and his flipped side provides more tokens and deck tutoring for the price of a sac.
Squirrel Nest is decent, but I'm adding a Spawning Grounds to the deck that will be more brutal in terms of the tokens it generates.
Now I need to get my hands on Skirsdag High Priest , Oversold Cemetery , Dictate of Erebos , Rancor , Deathrender , and Kresh the Bloodbraided .
The others you mentioned, while all amazing, I would find a hard time finding spots for them. I don't want to pull out too many of the cards I have, as they've all been doing really well; with the exception of the saproling / forest reliant cards.
Although, Fauna Shaman and the tutors would be sick, if I can find spots for them.
If you would like, you could suggest cards to pull from the deck so that I could make room for the lovely suggestions you've made. It would really be a great help.
Thank you for the amazing suggestions!
Addendum: Howl of the Night Pack and Dark Heart of the Wood are there for the Life and Limb bonus Forests. But I realized, thanks to other comments, that they just really won't come in handy that often, and they are right.
Fecundity does indeed help my opponents just as much. I recently pulled a Dark Prophecy , that might be a better fit. As long as I can balance it out with a bit of lifegain somehow...
And Dictate of Erebos is much cheaper cash-wise than Grave Pact , so I would certainly not mind using it instead.
As for the mana curve, I certainly understand what you mean. It's just so hard with this deck to balance things out properly. There are TOO MANY great cards for a deck like this. I need some power mana lands, like Crypt of Agadeem and stuff like that. But I need to make sure it won't break my bank...
June 16, 2014 12:09 a.m.
there's an enchantment in conspiracy that lets you draw a card at the end of the turn if a creature died that turn.....can't remember the name, but it lets you draw without letting your opponents...just not as much....
June 16, 2014 8:24 a.m.
@pskinn01 -- Conspiracy is not being sold by stores in my current location, and the card shop nearby refuses to sell them. I'm busy helping a member of my family with a broken hip, so I can't really take place in the draft events either, at the moment...At any rate, Dark Prophecy lets me draw a card when one of my creatures dies, at the cost of 1 life. If I can find a way to offset that, I'd be set!

I have a deck exactly like this:
Magic is all about making sacrifices... Bwa Ha Ha! Playtest
Commander / EDH
SCORE: 2 | 15 COMMENTS | 179 VIEWSCheck it out for ideas. +1
June 16, 2014 11:07 a.m.
@TheGamer -- Awesome deck you have there. Which reminds me, I desperately need to get my hands on a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker . I've been trying to trade some people for it, but no luck as of yet...
June 16, 2014 12:25 p.m.
Prossh + Blade of the Bloodchief + Primal Vigor will let you hit with 41 points of general damage. Beastmaster Ascension is another great combo with Prossh. Attack with a 10/10 general and six 5/6 Kobolds.

Just so you know, you are missing a card. Decks are 99 cards and 1 commander, currently you have 98 cards and 1 commander.
Also Charnelhoard Wurm seems fairly weak for what it does. Maybe consider some more token generators like Dragon Broodmother or Verdant Force
Also Doubling Season and Food Chain are very strong cards for Prossh. You could probably drop Furnace Celebration and Jar of Eyeballs for these.
Grave Pact is another strong one, although you would probably want to swap a couple Mountains for Swamps if you do.
Finally, Obelisk of Jund has some direct upgrades that you could look at. Chromatic Lantern is great for three colour decks, and Commander Sphere from Commander 2014 also has the option of card draw. Darksteel Ingot might also be good if your meta runs a lot of Bane of Progress type cards.

If you wanna sack stuff abuse Ashnod's Altar , Phyrexian Altar , Flesh-Eater Imp , Blood Artist , Garruk Relentless Flip .
