I love the storyline and flavor of Alara Block and the Plane of Alara so much that I decided to make a Commander/E.D.H. deck for each Shard. This is my Jund deck, for which I chose Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund to be the Commander. Kresh the Bloodbraided can easily be swapped to the Commander spot for a main-deck Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund, but having a Commander who can keep Dragons in check while also benefiting from the Dragon Tribal support in the deck has been the better choice at my own table. In keeping with the themes of Jund, this deck revolves around creatures with Devour devouring other creatures, and also creatures dying. This deck also has a slight sub-theme of Dragon Tribal with a bit of support for it, including the Dragon-in-Chief. Most of the cards that I used are from Alara Block, a notable exception being Darigaaz, the Igniter, who was included because all ten of my E.D.H. decks feature their appropriate and iconic Legendary Dragon.
