I have very much considered Mogis, God of Slaughter , but there are only a total of four creatures with any black devotion (Rakdos Cackler , Rakdos, Lord of Riots , and Reaper of the Wilds ). The black in the deck is for all of the removal spells. His ability is great, it's just that using four mana for only that ability doesn't real seem worth it to me.
I'm unsure about this though. I'm about to add and update for tonight's FNM.Thanks

I think you have too many 1 drops maybe drop some of them too add in more 2 and 3 ofs if not 4 ofs I would reccomend Mogis, God of Slaughter because he is pseudo removal or damage if they dont you dont have to keep him online. and you previously said you only had 4 black he also used red devotion os that helps you as well.so to go more in depth with this
-1 Golgari Charm , add +1 Mizzium Mortars then -1 Thoughtseize +1 Rakdos's Return makes your deck more mid range. -1 Flame-Wreathed Phoenix Nylea, God of the Hunt -1 Polukranos, World Eater you could keep Purphoros, God of the Forge however you dont have things that creat tokens so i dont like it here so I would -1 that as well then -1 Reaper of the Wilds
so with that you can add +2 Mogis, God of Slaughter +2 Stormbreath Dragon

wolfsokolI think you may be right about the one drops. I'll drop a Rakdos Cackler since the Legion Loyalist provides first strike and trample. As for Stormbreath Dragon , I only have one right now because I don't have too much money and I want to save as much as possible. A similar reason for Mogis, God of Slaughter .As for the Golgari Charm versus Mizzium Mortars (which I do have multiple copies of), I actually came to this exact decision while building the deck. I chose Golgari Charm for one simple reason: the frequency at which Detention Sphere is played in my local metagame is beyond fathomable. I'm convinced that 90% of the players at my FNM have at least two Detention Sphere in there deck. Also, since my local metagame is quite control heavy, spot or mass creature removal is unnecessary.

Maybe drop a Mizzium Mortars for another Golgari Charm then? and sideboard Mizzium Mortars also form your side drop the mountain and Hero of Leina Tower as you have nothing to target her heroic ability.

The irony of you stating that is incredible. It just occurred to me that she is absolutely useless. I'm about to make a couple changes, hold on a second...

What's your opinion on the update? I replaced the Rakdos Cackler with Herald of Torment since the demon can provide late game power as well as give my big creatures flying. I was also thinking about Lotleth Troll so that late game dead draws like a Burning-Tree Emissary could provide extra power. Plus the combination of creature discard and the ability from Scavenging Ooze can be a lifesaver, and an attacking Kalonian Hydra with a boosted Lotleth Troll on the field could be a monster combo. If I were to use Lotleth Troll , I'd take out 2x Legion Loyalist and maybe the Flame-Wreathed Phoenix .
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have never played jund so take this with a grain a salt but that sounds like a pretty great combo. Lolleth Troll increases the effectiveness of scavenging ooze would be amazing I was looking through your sideboard and Underworld Cerberus may be a great card to put in to just make this combo devastating.

Herald of Torment looks okay but the life lost might hurt you seems you have no way to gain life might wnat to try Spiteful Returned instead. Granted it doesnt give flying

I didn't even notice that! I have more Underworld Cerberus that I could put in the sideboard and take out Ruric Thar, the Unbowed and Primeval Bounty .
And of course, a 6/6 monster that can't be blocked except by THREE OR MORE creatures is pretty deadly, especially in my local metagame, which is very light on creatures.

I've thought about Spiteful Returned , but it doesn't fit too well with the deck. It works better in decks that focus more on gradual damage, but this deck plans to go all out and smack the opponent with the haymaker combo, so a +3/+3 and flying is much more useful. And I honestly don't care about 1 life loss per upkeep, especially with my possible 14 removal spells and Scavenging Ooze combination.

I would keep Ruric Thar, the Unbowed if there is a lot of control or mono black if not you cna drop it.
and that is a very good point about the spiteful i would keep herald at that point

Honestly, I haven't been very impressed with Journey Into Nyx. The only card I plan on including is Temple of Malady because it's the last scry land the deck needs. If you could give any suggestions as to what you think I should include from Journey Into Nyx, that's be awesome. Otherwise, I don't think any new cards are better than the cards of the equivalent CMC within the deck.

this deck doesn't make sense.
you said you want to have an early game aggro with Ash Zealot yet your only playing 2?
also running that maybe shock/scry lands means you wont play it turn 2 or you will have to pay 2 life?

Apologies about any discrepancy. I was using Ash Zealot as an example. What I meant was the small creatures in general; Ash Zealot , Burning-Tree Emissary , Lotleth Troll , and Scavenging Ooze bring the small creature count to 10, not 2.
When I do play Ash Zealot on turn 2, I do almost always take 2 damage from a Blood Crypt or a Stomping Ground , but that's OK because 2 damage doesn't make a difference when I end up winning every game (slight exaggeration, I've lost four games in the last six weeks... not matches, games).
The deck may seem confusing to you, but it's been built to handle my local metagame, so it's been quite fine-tuned. I appreciate your concern, however.
