To return the favor for looking at my deck, I took a look at yours. I like the general theme of the deck and think its great, although there are a few changes I would make. First I would remove a Rakdos's Return or move it to the sideboard since getting one early can be awkward. I would also suggest cutting down on the number of Grisly Salvage s you run since having one of them take 4 creatures can be really awkward and can strip you of threats. You could also combat this issue by slightly increasing the number of creatures you play.

Thanks Aspenspiffy. I will consider removing a Rakdos's Return , although if I do get 2 or God forbid 3 in my starting hand then I just mulligan. I understand your reasoning on the Grisly Salvage , but that card is essential to the deck. Both Deathrite Shaman and Scavenging Ooze feed off of it. Chances are I will have one of those on the board fairly early and I will be wanting to utilize their abilities as quickly as possible. I don't mind throwing some creatures into the yard as my ooze can benefit greatly from it. Plus, Vraska and Xenagos both have the potential to generate creatures if I need to. I've considered running Elixir of Immortality in case, but I think it might be overkill. The other reason I have 4x Grisly Salvage is because other than Xenagos, The Reveler and the ability of Deathrite Shaman , I'm forgoing all land ramp (no Sylvan Caryatid or Courser of Kruphix ). So getting that land is sometimes quite important. I've considered replacing 1-2 Grisly Salvage with 1-2 Satyr Wayfinder to give me another body, but I will have to test it.

Had you considered trying Mogis, God of Slaughter for extra damage if the going gets slow? Not sure how it would do. But then, if you are going for the more aggro approach, xenagos is definitely the better option. He is sweet! However, always remember that Mogis puts the "laughter" in "Slaugter". ;)

Wow, I misspelled "slaughter after all of that and no edit.

YoungQuakerBoy I am going to stay with Xenagos, God of Revels on this one. I feel like Mogis, God of Slaughter better fits an aggro/burn shell, which isn't as much of what I'm trying to do here. Since I'm only splashing black, it would be much harder to make him into a creature as well.

Thanks for the suggestion!
