FUN DYING UHURHURHURHUR
With Dragon's Maze guild champions from Rakdos and Golgari revealed, not to mention the increased interaction with +1/+1 counters in Gatecrash, ( WIZARDS LISTENS TO US OMG ) I came up with this quick undying/scavenge/sac deck in Jund colors.
The aim is to play undying creatures ( that took a lot of deduction... ) and sacrifice them immediately to Varolz ( http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=446208 ) or Bone Splinters, giving them a +1/+1 counter and triggering Exava's ( http://sales.starcitygames.com/cardsearch.php?singlesearch=Exava%2C+Rakdos+Blood+Witch ) mass haste. Because who doesn't want a 6/5 vigilant trampling hasty sexy giant centipede swinging turn 5?
Given an ideal scenario,
T1: Dual land, Slitherhead or Diregraf Ghoul ( I'm considering adding Arbor Elf, just to get Exava out earlier. Thoughts? )
T2: Forest, Strangleroot Geist or hold for Hunger of the Howlpack. Swing.
T3: Dual or Mountain, drop Varolz, sac geist or slitherhead to protect him if necessary. Or play Bone Splinters, saccing a creature of your choice. Or chump block with Slitherhead, attacking with your Geist or buffed up Ghoul/Cackler.
T4: Land, drop Exava, swing.
T5: Land, Crowned Ceratok, scavenge a slitherhead, attack with tramply hasty stuff.
In addition, one drops such as Slitherhead basically read " 0 , Exile this creature your graveyard. Target creature gets permanent +1/+1 and has haste and trample" if you have Exava or Crowned Ceratok out. Diregraf Ghoul and Desecration Demon provides some cheap pump with Varolz, not to mention comboing with Crowned Ceratok for tramply damage.
I currently feel that the manabase probably is the biggest weakness in this deck, given that all my undyers are heavy on green. The manabase is mostly skewed towards black and green, with some red for Exava and Brimstone Volley. I'm not sure about vulnerability to board wipes and how to deal with that, perhaps holding off on the sacrificing to make sure my guys have a spare life? I also have too many four drops, Exava, Des Demon, Crowned Ceratok...
