This is a junk constellations deck brew based off of the new Eidolon of Blossoms card. I've played an early prototype of this deck at 1 FNM and took 7th place.
Card Breakdown:
Eidolon of Blossoms : This is the card this deck is built around. It interacts really well with many different cards in the deck and allows you to "go off" by playing enchantments and drawing into enchantments. There are 21 enchantment cards in the deck and Pharika, God of Affliction allows for recursion in your enchantments.
Courser of Kruphix : Interacts okayish with Eidolon of Blossoms in that it can help you plan your turn by knowing what you could potentially draw into. Otherwise it's just here because it's good and we need 3 drops.
Herald of Torment
: Really extraordinary card. It gives us reach, a turn 3 flyer or we can bestow it and put our opponent on a solid clock.
Underworld Coinsmith
: This card is merely supportive. It's here to provide a 2-drop enchantment creature. However, it's constellation will often times become relevant, and give you lines of play that you wouldn't otherwise have.
Brain Maggot : Thoughtseize 5 & 6.
Sylvan Caryatid : Great against the aggro matchups, otherwise, there for a turn 3 Eidolon.
Unflinching Courage Mainboard Burn/Aggro Hate. I think Blind Obedience might slot in better here, but it's untested.
Doomwake Giant
Meta call. I think aggro is played pretty heavily right now, and doomwake provides so much value in this spot. Otherwise, I think Archangel of Thune is a better card in our 5-slot.
Pharika, God of Affliction : Added Spice. This card has some variance with it's effectiveness. It's of average effectiveness when it's bad and it's exceptionally good when it's good. Keep in mind that the eidolon allows for "explosive" devotion, and we can very quickly make pharika a creature.
Silence the Believers
: This card is also spicy. We're looking to get 2 or 3 for 1s with this card, but if we use it as a turn 4 removal spell, that's just fine.
