I like the idea that you got going here, i really am a little to new to EDH to throw to many suggestions your way, I think it would be hard to mill in EDH but i'd love to see a deck just go for it. The only thing i would definitely do is add the Prophet of Kruphix you have in your maybe board. In my simic deck its the creature i search for more often than anything else.

The Prophet of Kruphix is definitely a maybe. I love what Prophet does for you, but I am unsure where to put it in the deck. If I want to throw the Prophet in, I'm going to want to throw another creature out to make room.

I realize full well the difficulty in trying to win by mill in EDH. XD The point of the deck is not to win by mill, but to put cards into the graveyard to get back using other spells and win by damage.

Thank you very much for your thoughts. Anything else?

If you are wanting things to cause your opponent to dump cards into his graveyard you may try Forced Fruition . I know it gives them a draw but could end up in them discarding a large number of cards. Combo that with Megrim or Liliana's Caress and the outcome could be fatal.

The more I look at it, it looks like the goal is mill, and I don't want that.

I'm thinking of taking out Szadek, Lord of Secrets , probably for Prophet of Kruphix .

You could replace Doom Blade and Go for the Throat with Decree of Pain and Oblivion Stone . Mass removal is much better in EDH than pinpoint removal.

I'm embracing the mill aspect more and more, honestly. The mill allows me more creatures to return from the grave, and the opponent often won't have an answer for getting rid of so many of their cards.

Is the main wins lab maniac or creature beatdown? If it is lab why not run things that double your draw or massively increase it? If he is not the primary win then I can understand the lack of these style of cards

The goal is to do either one, whichever is easiest to pull off.

If I had a Palinchron, it would very readily take Great Whale's place
