Why not throw in some Celestial Colonnades?

February 11, 2015 1:41 p.m.

Because its What a $20-30 dollar card? and because i barely use my Man-lands as it is. I would rather side in Leyline of Sanctity But again that's a expensive card

It is more like $15. If you are looking for storm sideboard tech, go with Rule of Law or Ethersworn Canonist.

I think Howling Mine would be more beneficial than Otherworld Atlas just because it gets out earlier and starts drawing you cards sooner. Lastly, I would consider a Kiora, the Crashing Wave over Tamiyo just because she can act as an alternate win con for you. Hope that helps!

There's already a play set of howling mine

I really like the idea, but I'm probably missing something - it seems like it would seriously suffer against burn and control, 8-rack... probably other common-ish decks ...as there's little stopping the former, and only 2x win-con's to counter, discard, exile... I'm just not convinced it works well consistently by what I project looking at the deck list. Then again, I haven't tried it, nor do I run these cards, so what do I know?

March 11, 2015 12:09 a.m.

I have this deck right now and it is pretty good, if I had 2 Leyline of Sanctity it would probably be a T2 deck but as it is its just a gimmick to bring to FNM but yeah storm and any serious discard is hard for this deck

This deck looks dope. Why did you choose the atlas over Font of Mythos?

March 13, 2015 11:43 a.m.

sf45 because font does work better to a point, theoreticaly atlas is a wincon. It would have to be a long game I could use that to draw out my opponent

Kiora is not bad. A 9/9 Kraken every turn? That wins games quickly.

She can also draw you cards and play an extra land, which is great. She prevents creatures with abilities from dealing damage, too.

April 8, 2015 8:18 p.m.

buildingadeck accept 4 mama for a 2 counter walker that doesn't do much until she gets her ulti, no thanks. I would rather have Narset Transcendent while she isn't a wincon in herself, she goes up for virtual card draw, doubles the value of things like silence and her ulti stops discard and burn spells. Much more useful than kiora in modern.

I would agree that Narset is better than Kiora in modern, but I don't think that Kiora is bad.

April 8, 2015 9:56 p.m.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave isn't bad I mean she does say "plansewalker" and has a home in super friends, but in modern she gets bolted right away. She just dosent have a home in turbo fog

Have you considered hallow fountains, temple garden and fetchesor snapcasters

May 24, 2015 12:50 a.m.

Berenike yes I have, the deck runs just fine without them

Isochron Scepter would be so OP here.

Exiled_soul the five times i playtested this deck it was a never ending barrage of fog, so i'd say it's not even necessary.

May 30, 2015 2:48 p.m.

Anonygod and Exiled_soul Thank you for enjoying this deck I personally enjoy playing aswell (I think im a bad person lol). On a side note Exiled_soul I have played around with Isochron Scepter and while it does make it more consistent, I was taking out cards that i needed just as much, hence why it has its cosy home in the sideboard in-case I need it to make sure I have Silence or Fog constantly.

Dawn Charm is very versatile and could do excellently in a shell like the one you have here. It also combos well with the aforementioned Isochron Scepter because of its varying modes.

Riot Control, albeit a little expensive at 3CMC, stops all damage and gets you back life, which is nice as it could potentially tide you over for a turn so that you don't even need to fog.

+1 from me though, cool deck!

Minjahamster Dawn Charm was VERRY close being put in over Winds of Qal Sisma but over all the deck seemed to be off balance mana wise so i chose Winds of Qal Sisma over it.
