Sideboarding Downsize may help if you tend to get over whelmed by number of creatures, the overloading can let you take an entire attack and save you for a turn, if it comes to that.

Ooh that's a really nice idea, thanks. I was trying to keep it to mainly Avacyn cards but I'm starting to realise that that's not really viable. I'm thinking of adding a few Brimstone Volley s with that in mind as well - I feel like more shock would make me feel like I could damage through more easily

I feel like Tibalt isn't all that helpful here (or anywhere), tbh. If you put in the lightning maulers or something else as a 2-drop instead, I think that would be better. Also, Zealous Conscripts .

I really like Zealous Conscripts but they cost like 3, and I don't want to spend like 6-12 just to fine tune the deck slightly...
Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Tibalt makes me want to puke everywhere. Gallows at Willow Hill is bad either, so I would put Inaction Injunction instead of these two cards that seems to fit with your deck idea. And of course if you want to put a little more than 20$ in your deck, Zealous Conscripts and Ash Zealot have to be considered.

I don't get inaction injunction, it doesn't seem that great. I've removed Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded though. I love him, but he is terrible :( I'll maybe think about Zealous Conscripts ...

I don't see the use of Ash Zealot here - I can't play any cards from my graveyard...
November 6, 2012 4:07 p.m.
It has first strike, haste and is 2/2 for 2cmc. It's just a nice card.
November 6, 2012 4:11 p.m.
I think Tibalt has his time and place, it just isn't often. Ash Zealot can work in almost any red deck, perhaps not a flashback deck, but otherwise its just a good card. Also if you happen to have one, then Cavern of Souls would be good for the human tribal theme you seem to have.

for 20 I feel like Cavern of Souls might be a bit expensive for something which is primarily useful against blue, I would be better off getting some Steam Vents or Sulfur Falls , right?

Yeah, Steam Vents and Sulfur Falls would help the two colors run more smoothly. I think you misunderstood Ash Zealot ; it doesn't damage the opponent when you cast cards from your graveyard, it damages them when they cast from their graveyard (which might be useful against zombies or anything with flashback, i.e. frites), but the 2/2 haste first strike body for a cmc of 2 is the main draw.

Yeah that is very strong actually, didn't really notice that. I wish good cards weren't so expensive ;__;

Restoration Angel and Emancipation Angel could work for flicker in white

I think the deck benefits from only having human cards when you consider Kessig and mass appeal and for white perhaps champion of the parish.

Humans is better suited when at least one of the colours is white... I like this take on it... i'm surprised that you're not running Vigilante Justice with the etb effects... it takes out potential blockers and even if it doesn't it makes it so that combat will be in your favor depending on how you play your creatures.
Maybe a couple of Archaeomancer s would help with flickering... the spell goes to the grave befor archaeomancer's etb triggers allowing you to rinse and repeat as you please. On another note one of the best humans to be running at the moment in red is Zealous Conscripts which would work amazingly in tandem with Deadeye Navigator . Flickering something you took makes it permanently yours btw...

Nivix Guildmage might be worth a try here as well.
November 16, 2012 10:45 p.m.
I run a red white similar to this deck:fiery-dawn-overhaul. The advantage to using white is that I can swarm the field with humans, and also Goldnight Commander stacks really well with Kruin Striker 's ability. Also, Silverblade Paladin is really nice to soulbond to kruin striker.

I should probably get Vigilante Justice and see if I can get some Zealous Conscripts s cheaply.
Nivix Guildmage could be cool - the ability to copy ghostly flicker could be very nice. - particularly if I have a more than one kessig/fervent cathar out.
If I were to change it to white do any of you know of any ways to flicker which aren't cloudshift or those huge expensive angels?

card:Conjurer's Closet could be one... i just like this one because it defies the norm... also with the deadeye/conscripts soulbond you could easily lock the opponent out of the game by flickering him during their upkeep after they untap and take their lands then use their own mana to keep flickering him...
Another good interaction is multi-pinging the opponents creatures with a flickered Izzet Staticaster
Have you considered Captain of the Mists ? Not amazing early-game but can be pretty nasty once you have the mana to do more with him.
I wouldnt be scared to go RWU. Return to ravnica has a mana base in favor of it... or you could just run chromatic lanterns in land spots

As to your November update, White has the wonderful Restoration Angel . And if you're torn between U and W why not make it a US tricolor? And then you could give it a cool name about military policies o-o

Whilst fleeting distraction is definitely good because it lets you draw you may find Hydrosurge preferable in some situations.
