Your land base is extremely slow. You have a lot of lands that ETB tapped, so you can't play Kaalia as quickly as would be ideal.

Cards I don't like:

Akoum Refuge

Boros Guildgate

Molten Slagheap

New Benalia

Orzhov Guildgate

Rupture Spire

Seraph Sanctuary

Transguild Promenade

Avatar of Slaughter

Flameblast Dragon

Mana-Charged Dragon

Vampiric Dragon

card:White Sun's Zenith

Underworld Connections

card:Devil's Play

Exsanguinate

card:Red Sun's Zenith

Elixir of Immortality

Pyrohemia

Cards I recommend:

Gilded Lotus

Rune-Scarred Demon

Iona, Shield of Emeria

Linvala, Keeper of Silence

Necropotence

Mana Vault

card:Sensei's Divining Top

Swords to Plowshares

just updated a bit, I think the manabase is ok, though I agree less tap lands would be better. My issue with Iona and Linvala is that they may draw a bit to much agro. Also, any specific reasons as to why I should get rid of the cards you think I should (other than tap lands) and is a top really right for this deck?

A Top is right for all EDH decks.

As for my reasoning:

  • The lands I suggested cutting are all pretty slow and/or unnecessary in EDH.
  • Avatar of Slaughter is kind of dangerous to use, and it can't be cheated out with Kaalia.
  • Flameblast Dragon is underwhelming. Spot removal like Terminate is better, and burning players doesn't really do much unless you tap down for it.
  • Mana-Charged Dragon just isn't good enough. It has firebreathing, but it's unlikely anyone else is going to dump mana into it for you. You're better off replacing it with something that has more utility.
  • Vampiric Dragon is too expensive, slow, and lackluster to deserve its spot in this deck.
  • card:White Sun's Zenith seems out of place. It isn't really that powerful, it doesn't relate to the deck, and it isn't economical to cast.
  • Underworld Connections is slow and inefficient. If an opponent destroys the enchanted land, then he or she two-for-ones you.
  • card:Devil's Play and card:Red Sun's Zenith are both inefficient in EDH.
  • Exsanguinate is best used as an infinite combo finisher. It's only slightly better than all the X burn spells you're running.
  • Elixir of Immortality seems useless to me.
  • Pyrohemia will kill your general before it kills most other threats. I would only recommend (I use this term very liberally here) it as an emergency button in a meta full of tokens and weak creatures.

Magus of the Moat would be a good addition because it keeps a lot of other fatties at bay.

Also, Iona and Linvala do tend to draw hate, but they're extraordinarily hard to play around when used properly. If you think they're too powerful for your meta, leave them out of the deck. However, if you aren't concerned about limiting the strength of this deck, I do highly recommend them as go-to solutions for unfavorable or potentially dangerous situations.

I think Pyrohemia is gonna stay in my meta, and the avatar and underworld connections are both gone (to be fair, they got taken out last night, so you probs missed that update) and while I agree that the lands are kind of slow, at this point the only things I have to replace them with are basics, and I think the colorfixing is worth the reduced speed (for now). As for the top, necropotence, swords and vault, I'd use them if I had them, but a top would more likely go in a different deck over this one, and I'm more interested in getting stuff like runescared and Iona/Linvala. Also, what would you think about adding a Wild Ricochet ? And if/when I do get some of those creatures, should I take out some of those spells you mentioned or some of the creatures?

My general rule for making replacements in EDH is that you need to choose your substitutions in order of relevance. Usually, this means dropping the least powerful card in the deck for something more efficient and effective, but you also need to consider the roles each card fills. I wouldn't go about dropping five creatures to add five spells because Kaalia needs the creatures, but you can certainly sub out cards of differing types every now and then.

Wild Ricochet is a decent card in EDH; it's actually one of the few playable red cards in the format.

Alright, as soon as I can get my hands on it, it'll go in. and I'm thinking Chancellor of the Annex back in as well as Diabolic Tutor back in

In my own red EDH deck, I've found that Goblin Bombardment is a handy enchantment to have out for when someone wipes the board. If your creatures are going to die anyway, might as well let them deal some damage on their way out. Vicious Shadows is also a fun card for the same purpose.

Vicious Shadows would be pretty good in here if I can find the room. Goblin Bombardment is not worth it in a deck that focuses on playing big dudes rather than lots of dudes.
