I'm not a big fan of Armageddon. It's too much of a douchebage, especially in a Two-Headed Giant match. It says that you are mainly looking out for yourself and don't care if your friend is there or not.
As for Inquisition of Kozilek, it's too situational for a commander deck. In modern it's perfect because hardly any of the cards cmc goes over 3.
Other than that, I really like this deck. You might also want to consider Mana-Charged Dragon.

I misinterpreted the Duel Commander format. I thought it was the same as Two-Head giant, so disregard the comment about it. Other than that, the rest I said would stay the same.

I get bored easily lol
SirFowler I actually love Armageddon and have no plans to take it out any time soon (I just hate people lol) and IoK is great for Duel EDH, because the CMC is much lower.

As much as people hate it in the context of Inquisition, I also find that Appetite for Brains is quite useful, as it snipes huge threats like Avacyn (in your deck) or, say, Obliterator (in mine). I also run Inquisition, but the versatility of being able to hit high-CMC bombs is pretty useful.

Hm, I'll try that and see what happens. I didn't even know such a card existed.
May 20, 2015 7:52 p.m.
You could also do Castigate to exile cards with any cmc.

Or just Rakdos's Return them out. For the lols.

You're all bad and should feel bad lololol
No but I'm not sure how much more worth it is to exile instead of discard.
May 20, 2015 8:32 p.m.
Maybe you did and I simply forgot, but have you tried running Stoneforge Mystic in here? I've been testing her in my Kaalia list, and Grabbing Sword Light//Shadow or Lightning Greaves is actually pretty solid. Because I'm a risk taker, I also run Dark Confidant but he tends to kill you if your deck decides to do you dirty. Oh and isn't Council's Judgment almost always superior to Vindicate in duel, I mean missing land kinda sucks, but it does tube Shroud//Hexproof//Indestructible.

I like being able to hit lands.
I'm not running Dank Confidant, I'd die to my own deck. As for Misty, the 2-drop spot is already clogged, I'm not super excited about throwing another one in there.
May 20, 2015 10:38 p.m.
I like this. This is really cool. I like what you've done here.
If i were to recommend some stuff though, it'd have to be Angelic Arbiter, Tariel, Reckoner of Souls, Angel of Despair, Dragon Mage/Avaricious Dragon (they have their uses, I promise!) , and (I'm sad you haven't added these yet) Dragonlord Kolaghan/Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury. I understand the latter's attack trigger won't work if you cheat him in, but He's still goo, and very easily cartable at 5 cmc, right after Kaalia! I'm also concerned for your lack of Steel Hellkite! xD
Ghostway seems sweet, as most of your guys have ETB's, and before a wrath effect can settle, drop this and have some fun! Magus of the Moat is a cheaper Moat, and since all your guys fly, what could go wrong? Shizo, Death's Storehouse is a niche land, but can go as far as to protect your kaalia in combat. Whip of Erebos would be a nice card in case some one killed you're biggest guy, and you want another ETB. Reanimate could be good, too.
Now, as a modern Jund player, It feels weird you don't play Terminate! This must be fixed.
Well, that's all I got. Good luck!

Also, quick question, how has Chancellor of the Annex been working for you? Is it good? Just wondering...

Thanks for the comment!
I actually tested a lot of the stuff you suggested, and it just ended up not working. I had AA and Steel Hellkite and they just didn't do enough. Tariel, IMO, doesn't hit hard enough and her ability can't be used until a turn after she comes out with Kaalia.
When the Kolaghans came out, I thought they would be great, but after a few test runs and some thought, there's just no room for them in this deck. I already have haste enablers, I'm not convinced I need another.
Ghostway seems interesting, I never really considered it, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot. Terminate was considered but I think I chose Dreadbore over it. However, I'll definitely re-think it, and I've been trying to get a Reanimate, it'd be great in this deck.
I think Whip is in here already. I kinda forget about Moat effects, but I might test it out for the lols.
As for Chancellor, she's pretty good. This deck loses to tempo/super fast stuff, and she really helps to slow them down.
Thanks again for the comment!

No problem!
And you're right, I see that you already have a Whip in here. I must have skimmed over it accidentally! xD
As for things to cut for Thoughtseize in your description, I'd cut Spirit Mantle.

As someone else pointed out, Rakdos the Defiler is quite sweet on a Kaalia deck. But I'd skip a 3 card combo, the same as you. Now.. What if you ran Blood Clock/Umbilicus? Its a 2 card combo that can turn the tide in your favor. And if that was not all it, the artifacts also work great with your Rune-Scarred Demon (and a possivel WB angel from old Ravnica who's Name I can' remember ATM).
Other than that, I love Sunforger in my own Kaalia deck. It can be quite awesome if you get the right instants.. And there's a ton of instants that work great in a Kaalia deck, believe me.
July 22, 2015 4:43 a.m.
Wow, I didn't even realize Blood Clock and Umbilicus were real cards. Thank you for giving me some ideas DarkRequiem. This isn't my deck, but I still appreciate the suggestions for some of my decks.

DarkRequiem were you thinking of Angel of Despair?
I've never liked Sunforger because it's so mana-intensive, and the artifacts just compete with Kaalia for the 4-drop spot but only works well with 6 cards in the deck.

Blood Clock and Umbilicus are great if you rely on EtB effects, which Kaalia does. They also add up some control to your deck since your opponents will have to chose between damage and returning a permanent to their hand, slowing them down. I love that pair even though I only play 1 of them on my own Kaalia's Hordes (sorry for the shameless pub to my deck).
Yeap. Angel of Despair quite right. Was posting from my cellular and since it is a bit slow I didn't go the the Gatherer to find the card. BTW, why aren't you using it?
Sunforger is mana-intensive. But Kaalia tends to play your big-mana-dudes for free. Usually Kaalia tends to win even without mana (that's why she loves land destruction so much). So, I don't think that that's a problem. More so if you consider that with a Mistveil Plains in your deck you can reuse your instants at will. Mana-intensive, yes. But priceless when you start tutoring and casting your spot removal for "free". And I count 8/9 Sunforger targets in your deck. Now, consider this: Platinum Angel and Sunforger in play with a Final Fortune on your deck. What's there not to love! :D

Platinum Angel is so fragile though, I had her in here and she just eats removal immediately.
Idk why I took Angel of Despair out of here, I'm gonna put her back in

DarkRequiem says... #22
Yeap. Platinum Angel being a creature and an artifact can be killed a bit too easily if you don't protect her. That's why I use her mostly if the need rises (giving me 1 or 2 turns more, which might be enough) or as a combo piece for my Sunforger + Final Fortune kill.

Looking at your removal suite, it looks solid, but I think that Dismember would be quite at home here. Sure, it doesn't hit some of the bigger beaters in the format, but a 1 mana removal spell that doesn't care about indestructible and can shrink blockers so your guys can survive combat can be an immensely useful tool to have at your disposal.

I also think that Steelshaper's Gift is something to consider (assuming you haven't already), between the swords and greaves, it has a variety of good targets, and it is a one mana tutor that puts it right in your hand rather than the top of your library.

Those are some pretty solid cards, what would you suggest I take out?
ThisIsBullshit says... #1
Scepter isn't banned, but a three-card combo isn't really worth it, in my opinion. Also, what would I take out?
