For some reason, Zinnia's battle music from Pokemon ORAS gets stuck in my head whenever I test against this deck. Just thought I should let you know.

In a desperate attempt to find a reason to start commenting again, might I suggest Dark Tutelage or similar effects? Maybe Coercive Portal?

Portal is kinda slow: four mana to draw one card every turn? Idk what I'd replace with it.

I wish I could run Dark Confidant effects but I think it's just too much life and the risk of flipping an Avacyn or Griselbrand or Iona is too high to be worth the life lost.

How are you feeling about the new spoils? Really disappointed with this set so far to be honest, Brisela is cool but will likely never see play and is slow as all hell. Gisela herself may see some play for me though how about you? Kind of a less impressive Baneslayer angel to me lol. Btw I finally picked up a Gamble and i've enjoyed playing it so far, hasn't really bitten me in the ass yet.

I agree, this set has been super disappointing for Kaalia so far. The only card that maaaaybe I'd consider is Collective Brutality, but no angels, dragons or interesting demons. I wish they'd put more effort into Brisela. It seems poorly designed in my opinion and I'm not fond of the meld mechanic.

I should get a Gamble, I'm just too lazy and I'm working on a different deck lol

I personally like Subjugator Angel from the new set. Seems like a second Thundermaw Hellkite that's not as good to hard cast. Would be cool with Quicksilver Amulet on an opponent's upkeep. I have a slower version of Kaalia that Sorin, Grim Nemesis is doing lots of work in.

Does this take into account the change to 20 starting life?

I haven't updated it to reflect the new rules. However, I doubt that I would change much.

How does Glorybringer work with Kaalia's ability?

I don't think it works, because you declare attackers and then specify which ones are exerted. That phase has already passed when I put in a creature with Kaalia, so he doesn't work.

Nah, they're definitely in the database I just don't know why they're not marked as legal for Duel Commander.

I had always figgured out that the deck explosion consisted in turn 2 ramp turn 3 kaalia turn 4 attack demon BOOOM!!!!

Really cool, but your curve seems high and by testing a few opening hands I was swarmed with high cmc cards. I don't mean this as an offense, cause I'd really like to build something similar. I just can't help wondering how this deck would perform lets say against Kess, a deck packed with efficient answers.
