There are a few things to consider when brewing with kaalia. The number of Angel's, Demons or Dragons to include. Which have the best effects. Stax pieces that don't hurt your endgame, or interfere with Kaalia's ability. Finally how you want to play the deck.

I started building this deck first because I like the commander. Second the hate most people have for Kaalia is intense, so I had to stick with it. Finally who doesn't like dropping big fattys and swinging for game.

3 of my conditions for cards in my deck.

1. Is it dead in hand?
2. Does it work in all of the combos of the deck?
3. Under bolas's citadel does it pay off if I flip it

Storm formula for Aetherflux Resevoir

N= Number of spells cast

(Nx(N+1))/2 = Life gained

eg. (4x(4+1))/2 = 10 life so the critical mass to kill 3 opponents for it is 17 spells

(17x(17+1))/2 = 153 thats 50 to each opponent

Leonin Relic Warder: This is an oldie but a goodie combo it is fairly easy to use you need 3 cards 1. Mayhem devil 2. Leonin Relic Warder (in grave) 3. Animate dead, Necromancy, or Dance of Dead

Bury (Obsolete) A term that meant “put [a permanent] into its owner’s graveyard.” In general, cards that were printed with the term “bury” have received errata in the Oracle card reference to read, “Destroy [a permanent]. It can’t be regenerated,” or “Sacrifice [a permanent].”

With Mayhem devil on the field, Leonin Relic Warder (LRW) in grave, and Animate dead in hand you: 1. Cast animate dead on LRW 2. If it resolves LRW hits the field, Use LRW's effect to exile Animate dead, This sacrifices LRW triggering mayhem devil 3. Animate dead returns to the battlefield repeat step 2 and 3
