Why the Legionnaire never occurred to me I don't know. He will make his way in

for the current meta he is very tricky with out Tempered Steel because of all the one cost instants that either do 1 damage or x/-1 not to mention Gut Shot for nothing. I still like to play him but just be very careful when you do.

Oh this is mostly Just for play with friends. I'm keeping it casual right now, but if I decide to make it competitive I'm grabbing 4 Tempered Steel . Thanks for the input though

Seems pretty awesome. I like the idea a lot, kadeen is beast. You might could try Etched Champion , he seems like he'd be awesome with all the artifacts/tempered steel. Really cool deck, seems exactly like my play style. +1

I want him in here but I'm not sure what to take out to make room. Probably precursor

After playtesting this a few times, I really like how its running so far. if anyone has anything to add or any suggestions, they would be much appreciated
January 30, 2012 6:27 p.m.
I was trying to think of things to add but it seems pretty solid now.
What about Rally the Peasants ? A white card with red flashback seems to be calling out to Mr. Kadeen lol. Juts a thought but I really like the deck +1.

Rally the Peasants wouldn't be a bad card but I'm not sure what it could replace

I've been toying with the idea of adding Hero of Bladehold back into the deck. Any suggestions for that?

Also need some SB help since I've never ran a deck like this
February 1, 2012 3:26 p.m.
I personally think you have too much lands. Plus, you have Mox Opal and Sphere of the Suns . Maybe try to insert more creatures and/or more equipement !
February 6, 2012 9:44 p.m.
Something like Indomitable Archangel that's give your shroud on your artifact
February 6, 2012 9:48 p.m.
Wizard of the Damned says... #16
I had the angel but I would rather have Hero of Bladehold . Really think I have too many lands? What would be a good number?
February 6, 2012 9:53 p.m.

I like the opals and spheres since it helps with metalcraft and isn't a first choice for artifact removal. Also with moving my land count down, it helps with necessary mana. I added 2 Hero of Bladehold and an additional Desperate Ravings in place of 3 lands. I'm toying with the idea of Master's Call over the hero. the hero is better but I'm thinking it will help with metalcraft and with Tempered Steel , I'll get a couple 3/3's. So with that said, comments and suggestions anyone? Still need SB help. Thanks guys

you could run Ornithopter with buffs they're a useful 0 drop with flying or a Ferropede for a 3 drop unblockable I gotta get me some Clifftop Retreat though :/

I use ornithopter when playing with friend and haven't seen the other. Any suggestions for standard?
February 14, 2012 10:41 p.m.
Maybe instead of Desperate Ravings you could try Origin Spellbomb
February 16, 2012 5:03 p.m.
Wizard of the Damned says... #21
I thought about that. The only reason I went with Desperate Ravings is because I'm able to flashback it and get the extra draw. The spell bomb would be good Do you think there could be room? Maybe instead of Master's Call ?

I dont think Desperate Ravings is 100% necessary for this deck. Maybe Intangible Virtue so the myrs from Master's Call can come out as 2/2-4/4 with vigilance.

Wizard of the Damned says... #23
I like Desperate Ravings since this deck plays fast enough where topdecking becomes a major problem. If I played more tokens Intangible Virtue would make them beastly with Tempered Steel . I'll have to keep that in mind if I go that way. Thanks!

Yeah I see yout point. Im running splicers with my tempered steel deck so its very useful and makes big scary golems really fast.
Whats your opinion on Etched Champion , his metal craft ability is nice but I'm starting to lean toward Porcelain Legionnaire for the first strike and phyrexian mana.
February 21, 2012 3:22 p.m.
Wizard of the Damned says... #25
Both are great with Tempered Steel . I like the legionnaire since he doesn't need metalcraft or the boost, but I prefer the champion since he has protection with metalcraft. A 4/4 unblockable or a 5/2 first strike unblockable is never a bad thing.
SwiftDeath says... #1
even though it is off color one of my favorite cards for this deck is Vault Skirge
and another card I use in my build is Porcelain Legionnaire
.
