Also as Kaervek is already expensive to cast, one of the primary reasons I don't want to run him, do you feel he is hard to cast over and over? I mean he has to be a target once he hits the board and probably doesn't live long. so starting at 7 mana then 9, 11. In my opinion it would be better to run cards like Mana Vault, Voltaic Key, Thran Dynamo, Grim Monolith, Fellwar Stone, Darksteel Ingot. I believe that those would be a better choice than your mana producing artifacts. Indeed many of the cards cost a large mana, and producing two colors shouldn't be hard.

Omen Machine, I understand what you want to do with it. But I feel that it could end up screwing you over unless you dump everyone's hand first. And as this isn't a discard deck I would just drop the Omen Machine.

Mogg Fanatic / Festering Goblin as early game considerations.

Fleshbag Marauder / Abyssal Gatekeeper / innocent blood. For some early game global creature kill.

You know, I'm not sure why there's no Flame Rift in here, I know I have some. Huh. I've gotta add one. Kaervek is really just there as a finisher if he doesn't take a removal spell immediately. As far as your suggestions for mana artifacts, I think you're right. I feel like I do need some MORE mana rather than just fixing, but I'm not sure how many of those I have. I'll dig through my collection and see what I've got.

I've got a Gatekeeper in there already, and it's possible that I'll throw in a Fleshbag Marauder and maybe an Innocent Blood , but I dunno. Have to see how the playgroup reacts.

The cool thing about the Omen Machine is how it interacts with Kaervek. Now they're FORCED to play the spell and take the damage no matter what. It's just a cute little thing, but since I haven't pulled it off yet I'ma leave it in here until I do.

I'm also curious what people think about Pestilence or Pyrohemia . Think I should throw in one or both of them? Since I've got the Pestilence Demon and Thrashing Wumpus in here already, I'm not sure if I should throw them in. Ideas from anyone out there?

Well you could go the route of adding creatures that are indestructible and drop the demon and the wumpus.

How is Baneful Omen working out for you? It's a hefty commitment at 7 mana. Also, I would recommend Bloodchief Ascension over the Liability because it just seems better to me.

If you're asking about my budget, I've got $2-300 in trade stock atm but I try to stay away from cards over $25 or so unless it's really needed. I recently picked up a Sneak Attack for my Riku deck because it's so good for example.

Yours and the OP's. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers are a near necessity for any deck that can use it.

That's a really good point. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

Also, Including Rakdos, Lord of Riots in the list would help you power out your general and a lot of your other fatties. If you feel so inclined I have a Olivia vampire control deck that you can look at the landbase. Team Blade.
