Do you like Kalamax, but want to play with more than one dinosaur? Do you like dinosaur tribal, but also the color blue? Do you want to play with a deck whose name is a callout to the early '90s cartoon "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs"? If so, this may be a list for you!

My goal with this list was to create a fun, reasonably focused Kalamax deck aimed at a fairly casual meta. I wanted a deck that didn't focus on infinite combos, avoided less-than-fun cards like Nexus of Fate, and diverged from the typical Kalamax decklists that many people are playing.

This deck works by focusing on the synergy between Kalamax and a number of other dinosaurs, especially the ones with strong Enrage abilities. Instants that damage your own creatures, such as Cinderclasm, work well with these types of cards. Kalamax doing his thing and doubling them grants us more activations of Enrage for more value.

Our game plan is to ramp and play a reactive game early on. We draw lots of cards, so playing one of Reliquary Tower, Nezahal, or Sea Gate Restoration   can be a big help. For optimal value, we want to play one impactful instant on each player's turn, with the mana multipliers in Seedborn Muse being some of our best cards. Mid-game, we want to stick a big dino with enrage and start pinging it for value. Our win con is either "big dino beatdown" or copying one of the big, x-cost instants like Comet Storm or Expansion / Explosion, which serve as some nice big Chicxulub-style hits to pair with our dinos. (Or maybe that's an anti-synergy?) We can also go infinite by using a double-coped Chord of Calling to fetch Forerunner of the Empire, Marauding Raptor, and Polyraptor, making infinite Polyraptors at instant speed, assuming we've got a second copy effect after Kalamax, 11 mana, and all of those cards still in our library. Just hitting Marauding Raptor and Polyraptor will create an infinite loop and draw the game, provided we don't have any instant speed removal.

This deck is almost certainly worse than a strictly instant-based list, but it's a lot of fun, and I like dinosaurs. It's also a reasonably budget friendly option, with the deck coming in at under $200 if you swap out the lands package with something more affordable. Have fun, and get stomping!
