If you're looking to try out Conquest as a format, I encourage you to use Kalamax as your first commander. Kalamax is a simple Dinosaur. You ramp them out, get value, and murder people, all at the pace you should be going in Conquest.

Kalamax's game plan involves turning sideways either by attacking or using specific tap lands and abusing their abilities as much as possible. As a 4/4 at 4 cmc, our Boi is certainly not a pushover and only gets stronger as you play the game. Gaining +1/1 counters on each spell copied, you don't even have to play aggressive spells to get Kalamax swoll af however you're missing out if you choose not to take advantage of that extra power/toughness.

In this deck we out here slamming copied buff spells to give trample and +4(x2) power to one shot players with commander damage or gain nutty value with cards like copied Thrill of Possibility and Fact Fiction to fill up our hands, Harrow and Crop Rotation to net positive untapped lands on opponents turn, or just double up on those sweet sweet X spells like Expansion//Explosion and Channeled Force to annihilate your opponents. We even squeeze in some other burn cards like Soul's Fire for some sneaky kills if people aren't properly respecting being in the Eye of Kalamax's Storm.
