I went 3-2 on this night and I had a rough start going 0-2 but things turned around nicely. Also this is the last night this was just a b/r dragons but decided to splash blue for silumgar and to add man lands so that way I can put pressure on control decks.
Match 1: vs u/r eldrazi 0-2
Game 1: This deck gets me everytime, countering my valuable plays and no way to deal with their major threats. Got wrecked by a drowner of hope, oh well.
Game 2: same as before counter all my stuff and play their threats and gg.
Match 2: vs cryptocrats homebrew 0-2
Game 1: I pretty much kept taking his creatures away but he kept polluting the board and managed to get ormendahl out, my deck can't handle that so got boned.
Game 2: sided for tokens and he completely changed his deck up and my sideboard was pretty much dead.
Match 3: vs u/b eldrazi aggro 2-0
Game 1: his creatures were very small and barely affected the board, he had ingest and unfortunately it was a budget deck and my deck pretty much stomped his. I ended up giving the kid some cards to help him out. After our match of course.
Game 2: Same thing as before, my creatures were bigger and in the air.
Match 4: vs Jund Homebrew THE MATCH OF THE NIGHT, EPIC INDEED! 2-1
Game 1: This was back and forth, back and forth. I kept killing off his creatures and he kept using pulse of murasa and getting den protector and then using den protector to get pulse of murasa, it was annoying. This match could have ended sooner if I didn't miss my Kalitas triggers alas kolaghan came out to play along with goblin dark dwellers and a thunderbreak and Kalitas and as you say gg.
Game 2: he won this one because I was getting flooded and he killed off my kalitas and had one of his own.
Game 3: This one went to time in the rounds, same stuff as before except I stopped killing off his creatures to prevent him from getting his combo going, and on turn 5 I top deck like a boss and pull out a kolaghan and swing for game.
Match 5: g/w enchantment homebrew 2-0
Game 1: So this guy was piloting his friend'sdeck and was his first time playing, I asked if he understood what his deck was trying to do, he said somewhat. So he is playing enchantments and I transgress him and take gideon away, and I recast with a dark dwellers and take ulamog and realize what he is trying to do. I beat him in the air, he also targeted my thunderbreak with quarantine field and took 3 for that.
Game 2: sided in virulent plague, infinite obliteration, dark petition, I managed to cast infinite obliteration on turn 3 and named ulamog and saw only one in the deck, then transgressed him and took a sigil of the empty throne, then transgressed again and took a stasis snare, then turn 5 cast dark petition with spell mastery online and grabbed virulent plague, he had 2 from beyond in play and a sigil of the empty throne. That ruined his day, then i swung in with my flyers gg.
