Kalemne EDH Voltron (casual multiplayer)

This is a straightforward Voltron deck: ramp into Kalemne and power her up as quickly as possible, then win with commander damage.

Turns 1-4:

Vigilance and double strike are great, but since we have no protection or evasion, these need to be priorities. Cheap creatures like Benevolent Bodyguard and Mother of Runes help to keep Kalemne safe from targeted removal, while Bastion Protector and Selfless Spirit offer a temporary solution to board wipes. Then tutor up a Hammer of Nazahn for added protection and to discount the cost of other equipment.

Turns 5-8:

Start dropping Swords and larger creatures to power up Kalemne. We also have a few options to give her double damage or additional attacks. Swords of X and Y are particularly effective because their abilities trigger twice with double strike, in addition to providing protection and evasion.

Late Game:

Emeria, The Sky Ruin and Sun Titan allow us to recur creatures (and some equipment), and we have a few options to give creatures haste if Kalemne needs to be re-cast.

Possible Combos

Neheb, the Eternal and Sword of Feast and Famine can both create infinite attack phases with Aggravated Assault.

Notes:

• Because Mother of Runes, Citadel Siege and Heliod, Sun-Crowned have targeted abilities, we've avoided permanent effects like the Sword of Light and Shadow that give protection from white.

• Expensive cards like Plateau and Wheel of Fortune can easily be replaced with cheaper options, but Stoneforge Mystic and the Swords are quite important to the deck. If you don't like Fires of Invention, Smothering Tithe is a good substitute, otherwise throw in some more artifact ramp.
