Thanks Jimmy_Chinchila! I would run Cavern of Souls if I had an extra, but I also don't have to worry too much about Kalitas being countered in my group. Underworld Connections is solid but I don't like giving up a land to guarantee a draw each turn. Champion's Helm was in my initial build but was pushed out for better equipment like swords. I'm not sure why I haven't thought of Bloodghast before, but I'll need to get me one. Then maybe put Skullclamp back in!

So I had a revelation earlier. Well maybe it's not a revelation and more of a delusion from lack of sleep, but I'm thinking about running Karn, Silver Golem in here as a way to enable artifact removal using all the creature removal/sacrifice in the deck. What do you all think?

I would put it in for a while and just see how it goes, if it works, great! if not, just take it out again. No big deal.

Nice list! I'm building mine, too, with similar synergies. Also, i've included Enslave - perfect for getting pesky opponents off guard. +1

Thanks Arthurgress! Enslave is a neat effect that black doesn't typically get. If it was easily recurrable I would be all over it, but that CMC is really high. I prefer to lean on spot removal and mass sac effects to take care of annoying creatures on the board.
I have to say the "controltron" build I'm running now has been pretty successful in my meta of tuned-but-not-super-competitive decks. Good luck with your build, I know I've had a blast with mine!

Awesome! Check out my deck cobra kai til I die I have a more creature heavy variant that uses the massive mana to dump out Eldrazi beaters. It runs "okay" but I see a few cards in here that I would love to cherry pick. Wouldn't mind some help with deciding which cards to take out though! +1

Cool deck, gotta try it on xmage :D but i have a question, why Innocent Blood and not Chainer's Edict? I think it's a much better version, despite costing one extra mana, and could be flashbacked if needed.

I have been playing this deck and i have a couple of questions. How do you manage walkers decks? And group hug decks with lots of enchantments and artifacts? I felt i was really weak against those.

Mono Black is notoriously weak to those kinds of decks Pinkie_Satanas, Red has artifact removal at least but all black gets is Gate to Phyrexia. I would suggest adding in Nev's Disk or more non-creature nukes like Boompile, Perilous Vault, or Karn Liberated to deal with pillowfort but overall he has all the cards black can use to beat those decks. Keep in mind Vampire Hexmage, AEther Snap, and Thief of Blood exist and can nuke walker decks or instantly transform Dark Depths.

Hero's Downfall is also solid removal that can hit walkers. i have run To the Slaughter, but it is a little worse in my opinion.

Thoughts about adding Endless Ranks of the Dead? It will provide many sac outlets to work with many of your other cards.

Very nice build, well refined. +1
Cavern of Souls could be good if you play against much countermagic. Underworld Connections good for card draw. Champion's Helm a solid equipment. Bloodghast one of my favorite vampires. Anyways, just some thoughts.
