Intro and How to Play

This deck lacks a finisher I think. But this is an archtype where you pretty much just whittle away their life a little bit at a time, so I guess it works. At face value I don't believe that it's worth the money tho lol.

But basically the name of the game is death and taxes. If you don't know how to play that archtype the long and short of it is as follows: we play efficiently costed creatures that have HATE effects that slow our opponents down. Or they're just really efficient for what they cost, like having keywords and effects that inch us ahead. Usually the win con is to go wide to beat their face in, or make it a living hell to play against and make our opponent slit their wrists. Whichever comes first. We are doing a ghetto standard version of this tho. There's some less than optimal deathers and taxers in here tho, so just HATEbear with me. ba dum tss

The board is geared for my meta, and also I suck at building sideboards so you might want to make your own.

Good Hate Bears:

Gifted Aetherborn - BB for a 2/3 lifelink and deathtouch body. What else do you want?

Glint-Sleeve Siphoner - Not a bad hatebear. Has an evasion keyword and draws us cards. It's nice. Thinking of trying to fit in Live Fast instead of Arguel's Blood Fast   cuz energy, but idk. Maybe even both.

Kambal, Consul of Allocation - GOAT. This is the taxman and the taxman always gets his money. He has a lot of triggers even in the mono red matchup, this guy puts the "tax" in "death and taxes". He is an ALL-MFING-STAR, and pretty much just rapes control decks.

Kinjalli's Sunwing - Not super flashy, but makes opponents creatures enter tapped AND is a 2/3 flier for 3. Pretty solid.

Aven Mindcensor - I had totally forgotten this card was in standard. Mr/Mrs Mindcensor + Field of Ruin/Settle the Wreckage = strip mine/really not nice.

Bad/Shit Hate Bears:

Deadeye Tracker - I'm not convinced this card is good at all, but I wanted to have some sort of answer to Gift decks. Plus we really need card draw, and this is kinda sort of card draw, maybe perhaps. I high key hate this card tbh, but whatever. RXL didn't really give me what I wanted.

Tocatli Honor Guard - stops ETB triggers. Yea that's it. It's here for energy decks cuz I'm thinking that's probably the only thing it's good for, but there are some pretty nasty ETB effects outside of the energy decks. Resolve it against the Approach deck and their only creature is just a 5/6 flash giant. Which is still good I guess now that I say it aloud...

Gonti, Lord of Luxury - he's in the sideboard for control/midrange matchups, but he's pretty nice. He's mostly here in the "bad hate bear" section cuz I forgot about him while typing. But he can't be brought back by Bishop of Rebirth, and trips over Honor Guard's toes... so he sort of deserves to be here, but at the same time is a 2/3 deathtouch card that (for the most part) steals a card from your opponent.

Non-Hate Bear Cards:

Bishop of Rebirth - Shitty version of Sun Titan, but whatever. Brings back every single hate bear but Gonti. You're meant to just hold onto her until opponent hits a boardwipe.

Dusk / Dawn - Both sides miss/hit all our creatures respectively, except for Bishop. And that's pretty dang good if you ask me.

Fatal Push - is fatal push. We don't have much reach so we need to get thru in the early game. 1 mana removal is about the most efficient way to go about it imo.
