Introduction

Greetings! Welcome to Karador's H'Elesh Affinity! Comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcome.

This deck is focused on board control that builds upon attrition-based tactics; it's very defensive and reactionary in nature. In order to gain a strategic advantage, it relies on an aggressive mix of sac and exile effects to dominate opponents. Due to the exiling nature of this deck, an opponents graveyard isnt normally utilized. As with most creature-centric decks, its primary focus is abusing ETB and LTB effects. The end-game is to exile as many of an opponents permanents as possible -- lands included. That being said, the cards that this deck were meticulously chosen to abuse are Archon of Justice, Ashen Rider, False Prophet, Fiend Hunter, Karn Liberated, Merciless Eviction, Path to Exile, Praetor's Grasp, Sever the Bloodline, Sin Collector, Swords to Plowshares, and Withered Wretch.

• This deck bares the name of my favorite win condition: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite + Natural Affinity.

  DESCRIPTION: With Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite in hand, cast Natural Affinity, sacrifice the Deathrender-equipped creature putting Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite into play. Your opponent's lands -- 2/2 Creatures -- die as a state based action; their toughness is reduced to 0.
  NOTE: Massacre Wurm may substituted for Wurmcoil Engine; in addition to land destruction, it also causes loss of life.
• Infinite -1/-1 Counters
  CARDS: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter
  DESCRIPTION: With Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter on board, sacrifice Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter to his own ability; he returns to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter, remove the counter to place a -1/-1 counter on target creature, then sac him to his own ability again. Repeat.
  NOTE: Triskelion can be substituted for Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter to produce infinite player damage; simply remove all but one counter to damage a player, then remove the remaining counter, targeting itself, to dispatch Triskelion. Repeat.
• Infinite Wurmcoil Tokens
  CARDS: Wurmcoil Engine + Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar
  DESCRIPTION: Sacrifice Wurmcoil Engine to Ashnod's Altar, then sacrifice a token -- 4 colorless mana is produced -- next activate Nim Deathmantle's ability in order to return Wurmcoil Engine; this process nets 1 Wurmcoil Token per cycle. Repeat.
  NOTE: Grave Titan, Hornet Queen, and Avenger of Zendikar can be substituted for Wurmcoil Engine in this interaction.
