I'm so pumped about Remorseful Cleric and Stitcher's Supplier! I'm going to find room for them as soon as I can get my hands on a Cleric which seems to be impossible haha

I love your primer I thought it was pretty informative even as someone who has played Karador since it was first printed.
A couple things stood out to me, and I thought I would comment them.
Mindslicer tappedout has a strange affinity for this creature, and while I do think its good it can sometimes be one of those defrienders. I personally dont play it in my 99, for the same reason I dont play boonweaver combo, or no basics hermit druid, or trike.
Remorseful Cleric o man this little hate bear packs a punch against any graveyard based deck, especially ones that run towers of combo or are overdressed reanimation packages. Wait a tic, thats your deck! I LOVE the card and effect however I think its sinful to bring a card like this to give your opponents a chance to get you with it.
Perpetual Timepiece This might as well be called Karador’s timepiece. Have extensive gameplay experience with it and lets say the card is the truth.
Natural Order again I like the effect its always going to be great when u get to do it. I feel like Id rather just have something like Stitcher's Supplier or Riftsweeper instead.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, this was my first commander deck, I think I've had it for 4 or 5 years, so as time went by and I made more commander decks, this one got more and more tuned until I eventually decided to go full spike and make it as competitive as I could. I won't bust this out during a casual game, but I have a friend group that's really competitive with EDH, so it's right at home there. Mindslicer has got to be one of the most brutal plays you can make in the early game, especially with a fast mana start; it's definitely not a friend-maker unless your playgroup is down with that sort of thing.
I actually feel like Remorseful Cleric is a really solid hate card and avoids most of your opponents' copy effects. The only way they can really get at it is if they reanimate it or fetch it with something like Bribery, which would be bad for the Karador deck, but I think it's more important to be packing more graveyard hate than just my Bojuka Bog.
Natural Order is a newer addition and I'm trying it out just because Protean Hulk is a green creature and that's the easiest wincon for this deck to pull off.
I'm curious to see your Karador deck if you have a link!

I think Hokori, Dust Drinker is a really good card, it's much better suited in more of a stax deck that maxes out on mana dorks; it's not in my deck because I pretty much only have Deathrite Shaman. But in a different deck I could easily see it taking over games. The fun value on that card is pretty low too, but it's context dependent (if you're playing competitive and that's how your group has fun, then it doesn't matter).

Hokori is a staple in something like Derevi or maybe Oloro. I agree with Beezy 100%. Great card but not for Karador. It does synergize with a lot of the things that go into Karador those same staples often go into decks like Derevi as well.

kinght of autum and plague crafter seem like good replacements for the sliver and flesh bag nowadays, and also how is the early game for your decck with 32 lands and only 7 mana acceleration?

I definitely need to get a Plaguecrafter so I can replace Fleshbag, that's an easy choice. But I still like the sliver over knight of autumn. Necrotic Sliver and Harmonic Sliver working together provides a lot more value than gaining 4 life or putting two +1/+1 counters on the knight, both of which are kind of duds.
The mana acceleration is closer to ten or eleven if you count versatile spells like Knight of the Reliquary and Green Sun's Zenith, but honestly I've been trimming on it lately since if I can ever get Life from the Loam, I'll never miss a land drop, and because the deck doesn't require a ton of lands to combo off. Although I hastily cut Horizon Canopy for a Stitcher's Supplier just to find room; so you can expect me cutting something like Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim to make room for it again. 33 is probably where I want to be.

Sorry, my english is not very good.
Many years ago I played with Karador, it was the m deck I played the most.
The time has passed and he has gone beyond here where I play.
I wonder if you have played with it against competitive decks.
Would the deck be just for fun or is it competitive?
And what is his main way of winning?
Thank you very much for your attention.

I've played against some competitive decks, it can definitely go up against them and hold its own, but it's probably a little slow compared to something you'd find on Laboratory Maniacs. The main wincon is Protean Hulk, which you can power out quickly or durdle to by getting card advantage. I have a lot of fun playing this deck, and an easy edit to make it not CRAZY competitive is just to take out Protean Hulk. You'll still have the great combos, but you'll have to work harder for them!

My Karado deck had 40 lands. 4 Removals (Instant or Sorcery). 3 Global Removals (Sorcery).
I noticed that your deck does not have this structure. Does your deck have any problems related to that described?
Thank you for your attention.

Sorry for the late response, I've got two tappedout accounts (one personal, one for my youtube account) and was spending too much time on the other one! This deck has a lot more spot removal and I think basically no board wipes unless you count Living Death or Bane of Progress or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. The thing about this deck is that you're the most proactive one at the table, so people need to answer you, and not necessarily the other way around.

I'm slowly turning my Karador into a more competitive deck similar to yours. When are some requirements for you to keep a hand? I feel like I'll draw an ok 7 then do nothing with it. Any key pieces you want in hand before you keep?

He seems really good, I'm not quite sure what to cut for him yet. Maybe I'll do some testing first.

In the combo section you have written that, “Now you can loop Karmic Guide and Reveillark to get every creature costing 6 or less out of your deck”
How does the loop do that? Aren’t you just getting things from your yard with the loop?
June 17, 2019 12:25 a.m.
I should have been a little more clear on that because it's pretty complicated. With the first Hulk you grab Karmic Guide and Viscera Seer . With the second Hulk trigger you get Reveillark and another sac outlet, doesn't really matter. Sacrifice Guide and then Reveillark to get Karmic Guide back followed by Reveillark. From this point, you have infinite dies triggers and scry effects, but if you need anything else:
Have Guide return Hulk instead of Reveillark. Sac the Hulk. Now you can get Fiend Hunter , which exiles Karmic Guide. Sacrifice Fiend Hunter, Guide comes back getting Reveillark. Sacrifice Guide, then Reveillark. Now get back Guide and Hunter. Guide targets Hulk and Hunter exiles the Guide. Sac Hulk to get whatever you want. Now you can sac Hunter to get Guide into Reveillark and do the same loop again to get anything off of a hulk. Hope this helped!

How do you feel about walking ballista + mikeaus. It’s how I win a fair majority of my games. Looking at your list you can fetch it out with protean hulk

Do you have an ealier version of this deck that is less competitive you could share? I really like how your list looks and how it is discussed in the description but the current 99 might be too much for my meta. Thank you!
October 17, 2019 10:20 a.m.
So sorry for the late response! If you want to tone down my decklist, it's actually really easy. All you have to do is remove most or all of the noncreature tutors and/or Protean Hulk . You will still have the Reveillark / Karmic Guide combo along with the Renegade Rallier / Saffi Eriksdotter combo, but you'll have to naturally draw the pieces or go for a critical mass victory. Then you get to replace the cards you cut with your favorite pet cards! Hope this comment wasn't too late haha

I am also building a karador list and I'm wondering about the risks of running Dark Confidant ? Do you ever lose games because he hits you for eight?
Beezy says... #1
It depends on how competitive your meta is. In a competitive game, I think Sewer Nemesis and Lord of Extinction are too slow, but as part of a bigger, slightly clunkier combo with Jarad and similar power-matters cards they can be really sweet! Altar of Dementia and Lord of Extinction can basically kill someone by itself, so these combos can really pack a good "75% power level" punch!
