Karametra, God of Harvests

This is my rendition of Karametra, God of Harvests . This version started off with a large focus on Landfall mechanics. However, it has now evolved into a massive land ramp deck which pumps out big fatties like they were little mana dorks. Landfall creatures still play an important role here but the focus is on synergy. I've also included a fair amount of card draw to ensure my hand stays full.

Strategy

Get Karametra Out

Pretty straightforward, we want to get Karametra out ASAP so we can begin to use her ability to land ramp into fatties. She needs to be out by Turn 4, no later. Turn 3 is the best case scenario and can be done with 2 of our 1 drop mana dorks. We need her out so casting any creature makes them have a Rampant Growth effect which is important so we can drop our fatties.

Build Board Presence/Land Ramp

Once Karametra starts doing her thing, we can begin to build our presence. Mana dorks fetch lands when cast and they also allow us to cast our big bombs sooner. With our mana dorks and Lotus Cobra , you'll have Worldspine Wurm out in no time. There are also plenty of card draw options to help fuel our emptying hand. Whitemane Lion and Stonecloaker can bounce themselves back to our hand repeatably so we can fetch out a lot of our lands.

Runic Armasaur Free card draw is always good.

Beast Whisperer Cast a creature: draw a card. Pretty simple

Soul of the Harvest Nontoken creatures, but will still work wonders with Whitemane Lion and others.

Primordial Sage Cousin of Soul of the Harvest

Skullclamp Can use on dorks or tokens to draw cards.

Evolutionary Leap Not quite a draw par se.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary Do we play a lot of creatures? Yup! Okay then, this is a no brainer.

Heartwood Storyteller My meta/LGS has a lot of spell slingers so this guy will net us some cards. Also can act as land ramp.

Slate of Ancestry Self explanatory.

Regal Force , Harmonize , Elemental Bond , Greater Good , Guardian Project All net us cards.

Landfall Choices

While more of a subtheme, these do have synergy with Karametra.

Avenger of Zendikar The Granddaddy of Landfall.

Rampaging Baloths 4/4 tokens for dropping lands, yes please! Works well with Elemental Bond .

Emeria Angel Nets us flying tokens.

Lotus Cobra Minimizes the effect of lands entering the battlefield tapped via Karametra.

Wincons

Craterhoof Behemoth comes to mind as well as Liege of the Tangle using our lands that we can swarm opponents with.

Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar is a mid to late game beater that can easily reach epic proportions.

Rampaging Baloths with Karametra and/or bouncing Whitemane Lion / Stonecloaker can swamp the board with 4/4 beast tokens.

Pathbreaker Ibex AKA mini-Craterhoof.

Liege of the Tangle / Worldspine Wurm And other similar beats allow us to throw big behemoths around.

General swarm strategies and/or big beats.

Notable Exclusions

Most of these are simply due to cost or meta calls.

Doubling Season nad/or Parallel Lives have/are skyrocketing in cost. Plus this deck doesn't really focus on tokens or counters to really utilize them.

Aluren Also is on the rise and quickly. While it certainly allows for semi-infinite loop with Whitemane Lion allowing me to play all my basics for free, I fear it will enable my opponents as well especially when there is a mean Goblin deck in my meta.
