Karametra's Ensemble

Standard RG (Gruul)

Wester

Sideboard

This deck is very much a combo deck. Testing against random opponents in a SCG Invitational Qualifier provided much needed data.

I believe that this deck is the most versatile deck I've ever played. It "CAN" be an aggro deck; it "CAN" be a midrange deck; but it is, at its heart, a combo deck.

When given the opportunity, it is best to drop a turn 3 Karametra's Acolyte over a Polukranos, World Eater or Nylea, God of the Hunt. The reason being is that if your opponent uses some sort of removal or fight spell on your Karametra's Acolyte you will be in better shape on the next turn to drop an alternate 4-drop or an Arbor Colossus

Now, Arbor Colossus is one of the cards in this deck that puts us over the top when used in conjunction with Hellraiser Goblin, Reverent Hunter, and Nylea, God of the Hunt.

Ideally, the God-Hand would look something like Forest, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Elvish Mystic, Burning-Tree Emissary, Burning-Tree Emissary, Witchstalker, and Reverent Hunter.
This gives us a very aggressive start and puts our opponent on the back foot almost immediately. We would want to drop the Reverent Hunter on turn Two as a 7/7. (1/1 + 6x +1/+1 counters)

Alternate hands would involve a build towards Garruk, Caller of Beasts into a Hellraiser Goblin + Karametra's Acolyte + Nylea, God of the Hunt.

Some rather sick combinations that happen fairly often is the use of Hellraiser Goblin to give one or two Karametra's Acolyte haste and then pump out some Arbor Colossus and Reverent Hunter or even a Sylvan Primordial.

With SIX Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx effects in the deck the mana can be extremely explosive when your opponent is not ready for it.
