my DTK bant deck is gimmicky but effective none the less Budget Wall Aggro

I wonder how Courser of Kruphix might be instead of Satyr Wayfinder Even though it does fuel dig as well, it may not need to and works a lot better with what the deck is trying to do in my opinion. I would also add a Perilous Vault, especially if G/W Devotion continues to be a thing. Also Maybe One or Two Haven of the Spirit Dragon might be a good add to make the deck more resilient. I personally am also a fan of Anticipate and would add that in somewhere.

I'm curious why this is a Bant deck. You have 6 green cards in the 75. Try just playing U/W control. The mana base is much better and doesn't lose that much power. You can replace Satyr Wayfinder with Anticipate and Dragonlord Dromoka with another win-con, such as Pearl Lake Ancient. I just feel like the green splash is unneeded.

Hider1120: I wouldn't play Anticipate over Satyr Wayfinder here, mainly because Wayfinder fills my graveyard for Dig Through Time. Not sure about Pearl Lake Ancient, mainly because the life gain on Dragonlord Dromoka and the shutdown ability on it make it better than PLA. Overall, I just feel like I should stick with the green.

Did you concider Myth Realized? cast it on turn one and watch it gather counters and get huge while you're keeping control of the board.

Dig Through Time is BANNED! HOW HAS THIS NOT GOTTEN AROUND?! Please, for your own sake, switch the damn card out! D:

I can't figure out though, what's the "unexpected" and "return" bit of this deck?

Thanks for the formatting tip!
The Unexpected Return of shards in standard? I don't know. Came to me when I made the deck.

I'd seriously recommend finding a slot for Dromoka's Command, its really good in my abzan deck, and is a VALUEHOUSE with Dragonlord Dromoka.
If you want to see my 7 point list on why its such a good card, go to: Abzan Tasigoyf?... Aww Yeah! and look in the comments

DANG, didn't realize it had a fight mode! Will go in as soon as I get to my laptop.

Dromoka's Command seems very underwhelming. For your point about its combo with Dromoka, you should be winning the game already if you cast Dromoka with counterspell back up. Also, it's not worth mainboarding a mostly dead card just for the matchup with G/W devo.
April 3, 2015 3:53 p.m.
Magicrafter, that's not what he means. What he's saying is if you have Dromoka, plus a counterspell of your own, than you're already in a really good position. I'm inclined to agree with him. That said, one of the biggest applications Dromoka's Command does have is its ability to answer enchantments. Killing a Courser of Kruphix or a Mastery of the Unseen for 2 mana is fine, even if you are getting no other value.

Well, here's my reasons:
Kills Courser of Kruphix, Banishing Light, Chained to the Rocks, and the list goes on and on.
If my opponent is trying to get rid of something like a Satyr Wayfinder so he can pump something and swing for a lot of damage or lethal, I get to stop that and land removal next turn or something.
And the other two abilities are basically win more, except the counter fight mode let's my Satyrs kill 2 toughness or attacking or blocking 4 toughness creatures.
Overall, I feel like it adds to the deck, and if during play testing, it sucks, it will come out.

But why not just run Banishing Light over Dromoka's Command? It hits all those things AND Planeswalkers and creatures for 1 more CMC.

HolyFalcon says... #25
Yeah, that's true. During testing, it was a dead draw most of the time.

Instead of Nullify MB try Disdainful Stroke. Probably hits all the same things you want to hit with Nullify and then some. No Kiora, the Crashing Wave? I think that Reality Shift is easily better than Last Breath.
