This deck is based off the Commander's Quarters' build for Kenrith, the Returned King using Zirda, the Dawnwaker as a companion (I did a fair bit of editing and alterations, including choices in the manabase over cards I had on hand). As cycling is an activated ability, that is the main theme of the deck. The idea is to cycle large cards into the graveyard, and then use Kenrith's 5th ability to bring them out onto the field... at a discount, thanks to Zirda. Other key cards in the deck are Biomancer's Familiar which adds further discounts to activated abilities, Chromatic Lantern that fixes your mana, and Jegantha, the Wellspring who can tap to activate all of Kenrith's abilities at once, with just a few extra mana needed unless you have both Zirda and Biomancer's Familiar on the field. The mana base may receive further edits as I play with the deck. Jegantha also highlights a subtle subtheme to the deck for flavor - Elk. If I can come up with reasonably priced options, I may want to add a little bit more tutoring to try to pull out those key cards. The other 2 important cards are Sigarda, Heron's Grace and Teyo, the Shieldmage for their ability to give you hexproof and prevent other players from targeting you - and more specifically your graveyard. Shalai, Voice of Plenty would be an awesome addition to the deck, but I just couldn't spare the cost right now, so I went with more budget options. When I can afford it, I'll add it in place of Desert Cerodon.
