Sometimes you try to take a deck in a new direction and it doesn't quite work out. I experimented with Kess, Dissident Mage as the commander of this deck and I actually felt it performed worse over all. Kess is a fantastic commander and I may build an entirely different deck around her, but I missed Keranos as commander for a couple reasons:
1) colour identity - the addition of black that Kess grants didn't end up being worth it. There were only a few cards with black in them that I really wanted to run. That wasn't worth the extra mana fixing required going from a 2 colour to a 3 colour deck.
2) card draw/control engine - I underestimated how valuable Keranos was as an indestructible enchantment that allowed me to draw through top deck lands or continuously bolt creatures and control the board until I had my key spells online. Even though he doesn't directly synergize with the spellslinger/stealing theme, he certainly helps enable it.
I forgot to mention a couple additions from Battlebond previously, Sower of Temptation and Mystic Confluence. Both of these are reprints that had significant price drops. They've both proven to be great additions.
I continue to debate between Word of Seizing and Mass Mutiny being more useful in the deck. The former is currently in.
I've been slowly collecting cards for a similar deck theme! I love your list!

JBert, thanks for checking the deck out. It is really fun to play. I'd love to see your list when it's ready.

looks incredibly badass! this might not be very efficient, but have you considered slapping Charisma onto your commander? you could take over a good deal of 4+ toughness creatures that way :) Stay frosty!
