Have you considered Treachery, Dream Leash, Take Possession, or Word of Seizing

SamCre1993, thanks for the suggestions. I've had take possession and word of seizing in here before but found their mana cost to be a bit too intensive for that they do.

Treachery, on the other hand would work great in here and I will add it when I pick up a copy.

What about Gather Specimens? Sure, the mana cost is high, but if the opponent lays down something like Genesis Wave, you'll get all there sweet creatures. I also think Sakashima the Impostor would be good.

This one is slightly kinder and I would like to play against this one. It would be a lot of fun and I can at least keep my own against this deck. Great job MegaMatt13!

Sower of Temptation is a great theft ability plus a body, and Trading Post or Phyrexia's Core could sack your opponents creatures when you steal them until eot.

Oh also Miren, the Moaning Well if you can afford to run a few colorless-producing lands.

I never liked being only allowed to steal at sorcery speed, here are some more versatile options. think of it this way, someone motions to attack you and you can use that to get rid of some creature you want off the board

Act of Aggression, Blind with Anger, Disharmony*, Grab the Reins, Temporary Insanity, Turn Against.

: good for pro-red cards*: only good in defense, and strictly worse than the others

Nin, the Pain Artist is amazing with keranos for massive card draw

I disagree... Keranos is just the FIRST draw each turn.

Stolen Identity, Daring Thief,Polymorphous Rush,Hypnotic Siren are all good too! i have a legendary izzet deck that is quite fun and my first deck i built Legends Of Izzet (legendary tribal) check it out if you like. +1 from me i love it and i love izzet.

Tk4890 yes keranos is for the first correct but he is indestructible so when Nin, the Pain Artist deals x damage to creature and its controller gets x cards so use nin hit keranos if he is a creature and you get card draw and don't lose any creatures.

I did not see it anywhere in the suggestions but Dack Fayden is insane for stealing things; if you can use his ult then all of your spells steal things. Plus if there are potent artifacts in your meta he just nabs those off the bat!

All in all I like the concept of this deck!

feyn_do_alduin, you're right that having instant speed steal effects is helpful. Out of the cards you mentioned, Grab the Reins seemed the best due to its flexibility. I've thrown it in.

golgariizzet Tk4890 and Genswift: thanks for your suggestions. Those are all great cards. However, I'm slowly cutting back on the number of permanents in the deck. I'm trying to focus in on the copying/recurring of sorceries and instants that blue and red do so well.

"Aikido," which uses the opponent's momentum against them, would be the hub for "copy & steal" decks. I didn't know until somebody told me either, lol.

now i feel like someones spying on me, i made and still have a keranos thief deck, that i made at least 2-3 years ago, mine is alot of fun and i actually stole someones blightsteel colossus and copyied like 10 times, was great, oh and did i mention that i did all this in a 3 turn loop i hade because i had 2 extra turns, so i was able 2 attack with all the blightsteels more than once

Daniboydas glad you like it. You can Remove Treachery and Bribery to make it cheaper. I used Control Magic for a long time and it worked just fine

Great, great deck; very clean and polished, you clearly know what your doing. Also, not enough people play Keranos in my opinion, so bonus points for that. I could recommend Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, he could be a lot of fun in here especially if you can get him out early. He's a thief and he goads your opponents creatures, keeping the board in chaos.

nadder447, thanks for your interest in the deck! I've tried Grenzo in the past and my concern with him was that he only triggers off combat damage. The doesn't make early aggro moves. It holds back until it can steal or copy juicy targets. Being an early aggro creature, Grenzo kinda works against that. He is a super fun creature though :)

could I suggest Charisma? If you reveal a nonland card you get to steal a creature, plus it gives 3 devotion :)

IAMtheBW, thanks for your suggestion. This deck prioritizes sorceries and instants so any enchantments I add would have to have a very powerful effect. With Charisma, I see that it would operate as a rattlesnake card with my opponents avoiding attacking or blocking the enchanted creature. I would rarely be able to attach it to Keranos himself as most games he stays an Enchantment. My devotion would already have to be 7 before casting Charisma. That rarely happens. Since you have a high number of high costing cards, i would add in As Foretold cuz its great!
