This deck started as an attempt to build a storm list that would also include a Doomsday back up option. I found that without most of the high-end cards a storm list drops off pretty quickly in terms of effectiveness. Jace, Wielder of Mysteries being printed pushed me more toward winning with no cards in the library as a duplicate Laboratory Maniac . Jace, Wielder of Mysteries is a little better and a little worse than Laboratory Maniac as he is a planeswalker, so he is harder to remove and has his own built in draw ability. His down side is that once he is removed from the field he cannot be returned with an Unearth or any other Reanimate spell.
