Idea here is to use Keyrunes because

1) They can be used as mana

and

2) They are only temporarily creatures, so spells like Supreme Verdict should pass right over them.

This deck starts very weakly, but ramps up quickly, as you effectively gain 2 mana (land + keyrune) or more per turn past turn 3. The enemy's battlefield is continually wrecked by Verdicts and other board wipers while you continue to grow.

Ciphers stay on artifacts even when they stop being creatures, so ciphered keyrunes work, and are fairly difficult to deal with.
