i'd run Izzet Keyrune for filtering and Staff of Nin for consistent card advantage. you'd need a few counterspells and red removal has a pretty limited scope... Detention Sphere s and O-ring both would work alright maybe more board sweepers too... there's no room for all that...

lol You're exactly right, there is no room for all that. I didn't want to run all five keyrunes, and the Izzet one seemed the weakest. Staff of Nin would be something to consider, though by the time I could play it, I'd rather be activating keyrunes and swinging.

You could check out my keyrune deck... it still needs testing against an actual opponent Multi-Purpose Keys

Mine definitely needs tweaking, Divine Reckoning isnt worth keeping because it means the opponent will be able to keep up an offence after the wipe and Killing Wave (although i'd have the mana to make it effective) isn't as effective in a deck that doesn't go on the offensive till later on where they can just pay 9 life to keep their creature alive long enough to kill you in the next turn.

I would suggest a planeswalker to finish things off. It looks like this deck could handle nicol bolas and a nice spell to run is Treasured Find . It makes sure that you can re-use what you just wiped with

Hmm. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is a good idea. I'll find room for two of him. Treasured Find might also be worth it to get a board wipe back. Thanks for the suggestions!

It might be worth taking out a Chromatic Lantern for a third Rancor . I love the deck, such a cool idea.

Awesome Deck Idea I Think it is completely hilarious. +1 from me dude.

How does the deck play out for ya.

It actually works pretty well. It takes a little while to get rolling, but you should be able to easily survive. Then you just play a board wipe and swing away. They have trouble recovering, and it gives you a lot of time to attack. I'm really surprised at how popular this deck is getting. lol

I would add another terminus and take out a killing wave considering terminus is more effective

I was actually thinking about taking out two Killing Wave s for two more Terminus s. Even if I don't get the Miracle cost, 6 mana isn't really too big a deal. Thanks for the suggestion!

First, you dont need the rancor's because you have no creatures to enchant. Second, I would take out Treasured Find for more control: like Detention Sphere or something...but other than that great deck

how about a Door to Nothingness as an alternate win condition

Haha I love the originality! +1 !!!

PS: Is it just me, or does a Keyrune looks disturbingly a lot like a Pokeball?

"Selesnya Wolf! I choose you!!!" loll

I second the idea the include Door to Nothingness , at least as a singleton. Just for the lulz of if it ever shows up and allows for a win.

@ Garbear8583 I use Rancor to enchant my Keyrunes when I turn them into creatures. Then, when they turn back into artifacts, I get Rancor back in my hand.

I'll do some playtesting with Door to Nothingness . It could certainly be interesting.

Thanks everyone for all the comments and support!

With all the ramp you'll have access to, try taking out one Terminus for Bonfire of the Damned .

I understand the idea behind Bonfire of the Damned , and I would love it in here, but it's out of my price range.

Totally understandable. Maybe card:Devil's Play as an alternative?

As a total blindside for your opponent, after wiping the board multiple times and making them think you're just going to beat them into the ground with Keyrunes, mill them out with Increasing Confusion .

I don't know. It may seem like it, but you don't really end up with oodles of mana in this deck. However, I think a singleton of card:Devil's Play could be nice. I may find room for one.

I prefer having 1 to 2 types of Shocklands and then Dual Lands that can Feed off both. It helps with the flow and keeps life higher. Also the wallet ends up hurting less.

I'd replace the 4 Transguild Promenade with 4 Evolving Wilds , but other than that it looks good to me.

Jarrheadd0 says... #24

I understand your reasoning with the Evolving Wilds , but I don't even have 4 basic lands. lol

Verelen says... #25

Lol, the shocklands count as basics.
