This is an attrition EDH deck inspired by 8-rack. The main idea of the deck is to attack the hand with discard enchantments such as negrogen mists to sap your oppenents resources; start with the hand, then work your way down. By using spells such as Pox and Death Cloud to remove what's left of the enemies resources while leaving your enchantments on the board.

If that plan doesn't pan out, then there are cards like Liliana's caress to help hurt your opponent as they discard, meaning that even decks that do draw cards will be hurting. For any decks without consistent draw, there are cards like wheel of torture to kill them over a few turns, ideally with a few cards that deal a little damage every turn.

This deck also creates a very interesting top-deck-war style of play, but this deck is designed to topdeck better than basically any other deck. Plan A is to use cards that draw every turn such as asylum visitor to draw extra cards every turn. Plan B is to topdeck cards with hellbent or heckbent to take advantage of having zero cards in hand. Plan C is to play a 6/6 flyer out of the command zone and go from there. XD

So, why malfegor over other options like neheb the worthy? Well, malfegor is a big flying beater, and it's potentially a wrath that comes out of the command some while allowing cards to go to the graveyard.

A few things to keep in mind with this deck: 1) There is a target on the back of this deck. It's not trying to make friends, and will often be the archenemy at the table. 2) Every card you discard is worth one card for each of your opponents. In most games, each card discarded is like a 3-for-1 trade for you. 3) The main point is to empty the hands of the table and then topdeck better than everyone else in that situation. Each card you draw should be better than anything an opponent draws when nobody has a hand. 4) This is almost like "fun stax". The mentality is the same when playing the deck, but it's not as boring for your opponents as they still have the chance to draw into threats that they can play. Every draw is supposed to feel like a gamble. 5) This deck is budget friendly for what it does. The manabase is by no means optimal, but it works out more often than not.
