@kamarupa:
thanks for the suggestion. I just don't understand how this is more effective than Swiftfoot Boots ? It would be a nice side board card if the opponent plays a lot of artifact removal though...

it's got a lower CMC than Swiftfoot Boots . Vines of Vastwood is nice, too, but it's only temporary. I just picked up 4 Cauldron Haze for a similar reason.

not sure about Despise , pulling creatures is nice, but Cry of Contrition , Thoughtseize , Raven's Crime or Inquisition of Kozilek may fill that slot better. as for draw, i would probably play Abzan Charm (power of modes) or Altar's Reap (sac/persist to dodge spells) over Read the Bones (sorcery speed scry/draw).
Vampiric Rites may be another option as enchantments are harder to remove in most cases, and is a sac outlet that draws and gains life. Blasting Station is another option.
Sigil Captain may be a way for you to have more Melira, Sylvok Outcast in your deck as the persisted creatures are 1/1s.

what do you need white mana for? I'd cut all the cards that produce white mana and increase all the swamp and forest lands.

@Izu_Korasu and @kamarupa
6 years later and I am back to Tappedout. I quit mtg quite soon after planning this deck. Anyways thanks for all the suggestions!
Blasting Station and Vampiric Rites are definitely going in if I ever actually build this. On the other hand there might have come a lot of new cards that could interact even better. More updated suggestions are always welcome.
@kamarupa: yes, cutting out white makes all the sense!

MortisAngelus maybe keep the white mana and add in Geralf's Messenger and Solemnity - that combo with Viscera Seer and Altar of the Brood is disgusting. Also, Hall of Heliod's Generosity and Mastermind's Acquisition . You can actually drop green/Melira in favor of Solemnity.

@kamarupa: thanks again! Those are some really good suggestions, especially Solemnity . Do you have any other good suggestion for A) Card draw and B) one additional sac outlet. Pretty sure I'm gonna ditch duress and distress in favor for something more efficient. And if I'm ditching green, I can't really get any proper ramping either.

@kamarupa: Did some significant changes now to the deck, if you read the update. How does this look, in your opinion?

MortisAngelus - overall, this looks pretty good to me. If it were my deck, I'd be looking for 6 cards to cut to make room for 2-3 removal, 2-3 draw/tutor, and 2-3 counter/protection spells. Rest in Peace is in too many sideboards. I'm sure there are plenty of other threats, too. I feel like if I can devote at least a few slots in a deck to those three (removal, draw, protect) utilities, it's much easier to have an effective sideboard.
Cards below are just off the top of my head and should be considered as examples and standards.
removal: Path to Exile / Oblivion Ring
draw/tutor: Sign in Blood , Mastermind's Acquisition
protection: Ephemerate , Gods Willing , Holy Day , Riot Control
Final concern: Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit is Legendary, so 4x might not be great?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Yeah, I have no real board control in this one, but my mindset is to just take the beating until I get my combo going. That's why it is all about the combo pieces and the redundancy of them.
Regarding Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit ; you never need more than one of her on the battlefield, so doesn't matter that you have four. It is all about maximizing possibility of getting the combo. The main issue I have with her is her double white cost.

MortisAngelus - No amount of redundancy is going to get around Rest in Peace . Blast Zone comes to mind as a possible answer, but def not as useful as an O-Ring.

You have a good point there.. perhaps 4x Fracture would be good to ad? Oblivion ring, while I love it, is only so good because if destroyed, then you end up with the same threat again.
Best option would be Anguished Unmaking or Vindicate ...

I agree regarding O-Ring's flaw. Fracture isn't bad, but I don't know that I'd suggest mainboarding 4x, mainly because it's not broad enough. While not as good as Anguished Unmaking , I think Generous Gift is worth mentioning. You could consider cards like Nevermore or Silence as well as possible ways to evade opponents just long enough.

Yeah, Generous gift might actually be the best compromise. Anguished Unmaking is king, bit it also costs like a king even on second hand market.

Alpha Authority to protect Melira, perhaps? Generally, when I play with my Melira deck, she's the first card my opponents try to get rid of.
