So, this is my first Tournament Deck ever, I tried To make a Kiln Fiend Deck since I think it's fun to play(well it rather looks cool owning your opponent with a singel strike) and seemed rather easy for starters. I,ve been playing since the end of Onslaught/the beginning of Mirrodin and completely missed everything after the Timespiral block.I reentered with Scars(last month or so)
Now about the Deck:
There are several ways to win for this deck most of them are executed rather fast.Besides the obvious Kiln Fiend there is a Goblin Guide who should not be ignored. Both of these creatures can finish the game on turn three. The Cards used for this goal are:
Vampire's Bite
Tainted Strike
Assault Strobe
The Kiln Fiend needs two of those and the Goblin Guide all of them. Inquisition of Kozilek, Gitixian Probe and Mental Misstep give the Deck a light touch of control, yes this might slow the deck down a bit but they also make the deck a tad more reliable. To get my creatures through by any means, there are waiting Goblin Tunneler, Lighting Bolt and Flame Sash(Not sure about this one, maybe I should add two lands instead)around the corner. Playtested, and it usually worked pretty good but I got manascrewed a few times.
If you have any suggestions, comments are appreciated and asked for. Since I have no idea what people are playing in current standard and I never made one, there is no Sideboard either... Thanks in advance for your help!
PS: I don't want to win a pro tour with it or something but a nice position during FNM or not beeing last at comperable event would be nice.(I know it depends on the match-up)
