A UR aggro/tempo deck for a house-made format/league.

The strategy behind this deck is early aggression with Delver of Secrets and burn, followed by protection from burn (mostly) via Dispel and Izzet Charm, gaining value EVERYWHERE from Young Pyromancer and Talrand and consistency via Izzet Charm, Faithless Looting, Augur of Bolas, and Magma Jet.

This deck deals with creatures with toughness 3 or less pretty well. Anything bigger than that and Rapid Hybridization can be used to turn a large threat into something that can be hit with Searing Spear or Lightning Strike. A 2-for-1, yes, but with Young Pyromancer or Talrand it doesn't really matter.

Hopefully, Triton Tactics does work in this deck too...imagine that followed by a next-turn Weapon Surge alpha strike!

The main fear of this format is burn strategies, and that's where the sideboard comes in. With Dispel and Negate, the hope is that if I can't keep up my opponent's burn, I need to play the more tempo/control role. Mizzium Skin helps with this as well. Essence Scatter is mainly for Banisher Priest and Fiend Hunter...

If I need to be more aggressive, or the creature route just isn't cutting it, then for game 2 I can side out the more control-y cards for straight up burn.
