Now lets all be honest here, no one was going to build Thrasios, Triton Hero without a partner, but this deck does have somthing to offer that none of Thrasios's partners have. Ramp on a mana sink. This deck lends itself to being fast like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and Anje Falkenrath. You wanna push that win by setting up a beneficial infinite mana combo asap. Also the deck isn't effected by nearly as many stax pieces as decks like Yisan, the Wanderer Bard with Grafdigger's Cage, Torpor Orb, and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale not hurting us.

This deck is set up to win as fast as possible though multiple integrated infinite mana combos alongside an outlet like out commander Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy or the classic partner Thrasios, Triton Hero.

The best choice of action is highly situational depending on your general meta and the current board state. While the deck currently runs Thassa's Oracle as its main win-condition due to the current sushi-hulk meta and the increased use of Angel's Grace it may be better to run the Walking Ballista line instead. This decision ultimately lies with you as both lines suffer from the same stax pieces.

If you have infinite and with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy on the field.

  1) Find Thrasios, Triton Hero

  2) Generate infinite mana floating it.

  3) Use Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy to Lim-Dul's your way through the deck finding Thassa's Oracle

  4) With Thassa's etb trigger on the stack use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your entire deck.

  5) Let the Thassa trigger resolve.

Ideally, after drawing nearly your entire deck you will win any counter war and still have a Stifle available to stop Cephalid Coliseum effects. Also note that Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy puts Thassa's Oracle straight into play without being casted stopping Thassa from being countered.

If you have infinite or with Thrasios, Triton Hero on the field.

  1) Generate infinite mana floating it.

  2) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your entire deck up to Thassa's Oracle

  3) Cast Thassa's Oracle and pray for no counter's

  4) With Thassa's etb trigger on the stack use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your entire deck.

  5) Let the Thassa trigger resolve.

Very similar to the above set-up, but leaves Thassa's Oracle open to being countered.

If you have infinite and with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy on the field.

  1) Find Thrasios, Triton Hero

  2) Generate infinite mana.

  3) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to Finale of Devastation and some counterspells.

  4) Cast an infinitely large Finale of Devastation and swing out with hasty +inf/+inf's for the win.

This combo is recommended against decks that are known to run anti-sushi hulk tech. If there is a Cephalid Coliseum or Geier Reach Sanitarium on the field go with this. If you have infinite or with Thrasios, Triton Hero on the field.

  1) Generate infinite mana

  2) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to Finale of Devastation and some counterspells.

  3) Cast an infinitely large Finale of Devastation and swing out with hasty +inf/+inf's for the win.

Literally the same outcome as above there is no benifit to Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy over Thrasios, Triton Hero here.

If you have infinite and with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy on the field.

  1) Generate infinite mana.

  2) Find Thrasios, Triton Hero

  3) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to Walking Ballista and some counterspells.

  4) Cast an infinitely large Walking Ballista and shoot everyone down for the win.

This combo is probably the strongest in the deck only requiring a mana outlet to win. If you think the opponents have spot removal or artifact hate you can go through Thrasios, Triton Hero first to get removal/counters. Before sticking Ballista for the win.

If you have infinite or with Thrasios, Triton Hero on the field.

  1) Generate infinite mana

  2) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to Walking Ballista and some interaction.

  3) Cast an infinitely large Walking Ballista and ping your opponents down for the win.
If you have infinite and with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy on the field.

  1) Generate infinite mana.

  2) Find Thrasios, Triton Hero

  3) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to find Timetwister, Swan Song and any other instant spell that can be countered by swan song.

  4) Cast your chosen instant spell, say Brainstorm, and counter it with Swan Song creating a 2/2 Bird.

  5) Cast Timetwister shuffling everything back,

  6) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw into Noxious Revival and Timetwister.

  7) Repeat for infinite 2/2 birds.

  8) Find Concordant Crossroads to give the tokens haste and swing for the win.

This is definitely the backup combo for the deck, but can work. However, each time you Timetwister your opponents will have the option to counter one of your spells with say Force of Negation or Force of Will so this combo is not safe. There is also reason to play Beast Within over Pongify since you can destroy all the enemies permanents leaving only 3/3 beasts to be removed.

The same combo works with Thrasios, Triton Hero, starting at step 3.

If you have infinite and with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy on the field, and every opponent has atleast 1 creature.

  1) Generate infinite mana.

  2) Find Thrasios, Triton Hero

  3) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw your deck to find Timetwister, Reality Shift and Noxious Revival or Regrowth.

  4) Cast Reality Shift targeting the first opponent's creature.

  5) Cast Timetwister shuffling Reality Shift back followed by Noxious Revival targeting Timetwister.

  6) Use Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw into Reality Shift and Timetwister.

  7) Repeat for each opponent until all their libraries are exiled.

This is is a backup wincondition The same combo works with Thrasios, Triton Hero, starting at step 3.

This is our suite of zero mana counter-spells. Not much to say here these cards are just good when trying to setup. Also included Fierce Guardianship due to the low cost of our commander and for testing purposes.

These counter-spells are included for various reasons. To note is my inclusion of Stifle which is "not a good cEDH card", but I see value here. Not only can stifle protect our Thassa's Oracle from cards like Cephalid Coliseum it can also stop opposing Thassa's Oracle effects. Though if you go the Walking Ballista route over Thassa's Oracle I would recommend taking this out. Stifle will also be better in the situation that Fiend Artisan becomes good in deck where i can tutor up Grand Ablolisher (Shoutout to Casually Competitive MTG I love your content)

This are the remainders of our counter-spell suite. Swansong is a great include alongside Timetwister loops if necessary. Counterspell and Delay are just good efficient counter-spells at 2cmc and lastly Mana Drain is honestly not the best here as it adds colorless mana to the pool, but it is still good enough in the occasions where we can use the mana.

These are our land based enchantment ramp. Utopia Sprawl and Wild Growth both have their own downsides being the niches they fill and the infinite mana combos tthey facilitate for near 0 opportunity cost. Fertile Ground while not being as good as the other 2 enchantments being in the 2cmc slot has alot more freedom in that it can replace either of the other enchantments iin their combos with Kiora's Follower and Arbor Elf. These enchantments are also great to have out when under your Winter Orb effect along with Arbor Elf. Note: I am not sure if the mana these enchantments produce is effected by our commanders ability.

These 2 cards are the classic turn 1 mana dorks that most any deck running green runs. However, in this deck they are by far the worst mana ramp avaliable being some of the few mana producing pieces that are not apart of a winning combo. Overall, they are just here to provide mana ramp. NEVER put your Freed from the Real on these dorks. Just treat them as slow Sol Ring's when your commander is out.

These mana dorks are our prime ramp being that they can produce both and . This allows them to facilitate Freed from the Real combos by themselves. Birds of Paradise is 100% the best mana dork in the deck being 1cmc and still having this ability while the others are all a cmc of 2. The hexproof on Sylvan Caryatid and Paradise Druid also will occasionally come up though usually in these cases removal will just be thrown at Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy. These mana dorks are the prime spot for Freed from the Real.

These 2 cards are apart of larger combo piles both requiring 4 pieces including a land. But they are especially good given the inclusion of Winter Orb in the deck and when under Blood Moon effects. Overall, Save your Freed from the Real for a more useful creature if possible.

These are our best artifact ramp pieces. With out commander out they are apart of 2 combo set-ups being Kiora's Follower and Isochron Scepter. Artifacts also come down without summoning sickness as compared to our mana dorks making them essentially cost 0 when our commander is out due to the additional mana. I have had an opponent Rain of Filth away all their forests just to keep me off infinite in testing with the deck.

While these cards do not offer much in terms of colored mana ramp they are already extremely efficient ramp that only gets better with a turn 2 Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy. While our deck is colored mana reliant we can make use of the fast mana and if need be use Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy's activated ability to dig into our library.

I included these 2 enchantments simply because of what they bring to the table. Carpet of Flowers is already a really strong card in heavy blue metas providing the deck an additional piece of turn 1 ramp. Then comes Concordant Crossroads which with our commander out turns all our 1cmc mana dorks into what equates to sol ring on legs. This also enables the deck to storm off for an earlier win.

These cards round out our artifact/enchantment removal which is the main priority for the deck with how many artifact based stax pieces hurt our game-plan. Run these cards no debate.

These cards are our creature removal for the deck. Pongify is just really strong removal while Gilded Drake can straight up destroy the game plan of other decks like Yisan, the Wanderer Bard forcing them to expend their own removal to get their commander back. Also with the new Drannith Magistrate being asymmetrical removal such as this will be even stronger.

These are the few stax pieces we run in the deck. Winter Orb much like its place in Urza, Lord High Artificer hurts enemies much more than it will hurt our deck with its artifact and creature ramp. I feel like it is an auto include. Torpor Orb stops etb effects which many popular decks atm are reliant on. Combos like Worldgorger Dragon, Thassa's Oracle and decks like Yisan, the Wanderer Bard rely on etb's alot more than this deck to win. However, this does turn off our Spellseeker along with the Walking Ballista and Thassa's Oracle win lines leaving us Timetwister or Finale of Devastation wins.

Autumn's Veil is here as a meta call choice. It is mostly up to player choice to include it or not, but the deck can function easily replacing a single island for this(do not replace a forest). Veil of summer however is an all around better card even cantriping. Plus the ability to avoid spot removal on our creature heavy combos is great. Noxious Revival serves 2 purposes here. One is as an enabler for the Timetwister loop and second as protection for our combo peices like Freed from the Real which can leave us open to a 2 for 1.

These are our 3cmc tutor cards for the deck. Muddle the Mixture generally is here to find Dramatic Reversal, Kiora's Follower, Isochron Scepter, Finale of Devastation or act as a Negate. Drift of Phantasms is here solely to tutor finding Freed from the Real, Pemmin's Aura, Timetwister or Spellseeker. Speaking of Spellseeker, this card is unfortunately a human meaning it can't be brought out by Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy, but this card is still strong enough to warrant an include finding Counterspells, Dramatic Reversal, creature tutors like Worldly Tutor and removal like Nature's Claim.

Crop Rotation is here to find a couple cards. Homeward Path in the case the opponent takes control of Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy with somthing like a Gilded Drake, Cephalid Coliseum for that sweet anti-Thoracle tech as instant speed, and literally whatever land you need to set-up one of the land enchantment combos. Merchant Scroll can find Dramatic Reversal or any of the free counter-spells like Fierce Guardianship. Mystical Tutor is our best instant/sorcery tutor being able to find any instant or sorcery on an opponent's end-step before our turn and putting it on top. Worldly Tutor will generally find one of four cards, Spellseeker, Thrasios, Triton Hero, Kiora's Follower, or Birds of Paradise. While tutoring for birds may seem like a waste it is such a strong piece for early combo's that if you tutor for that on the opponents end-step and threaten a win do so.

These are our costed creature tutors. Finale of Devastation acts as both a tutor for any creature as well as a wincondition with infinite mana. There is also the niche application of surviving a toxic deluge since you can always retrieve this card with Noxious Revival. Green Sun's Zenith along with being a tutor also functions as mana ramp being able to find Dryad Arbor turn 1. Though I do feel questionable about the inclusion of these 2 cards.

These cards are the quintessential card draw spells for commander and really help us smooth out our earlier turns and set up combos when we head into the midgame. Gitaxian Probe is amazing giving us information on opponents hands letting us know if they have any removal as well as can-tripping for 0 mana making our deck essentially 98 cards.

This deck has the potential for a turn 1 Sylvan Library letting you get the value engine going faster and this card is really to good not to run. Mystic Remora is also here because early game it will generally go unchecked and let use sculpt out hands. Added that with out commander we can produce a ton of mana curbing that mana cost if we play it later in the game.

These are our producing forests for the Utopia Sprawl combos with Arbor Elf and Kiora's Follower. With the number of tutors we have you should see at least one of these every game to turn on the combo.

This is tech for the Thassa's Oracle meta. While it may not always be active with the threshold, it can still be useful in those longer games.

This card is amazing and facilitates turn 2 wins. I would honestly prefer this over Tropical Island

This is here to stop Gilded Drake since we are kinda commander reliant.

Cursed Totem

Null Rod

  • This card stops our artifacts.

Grafdigger's Cage

Walking Ballista

  • This card makes a great wincon for the deck as it doesnt require any other peices besides the base infinite mana combo to win.

Winter Orb

  • This deck works in a similar vein to Urza, Lord High Artificer. While not as good under the effects of Winter Orb, this deck does run enough mana dorks and artifact ramp to get by better than other decks in the format. Overall, this can be a meta call.

Thrasios, Triton Hero

  • Yes, you can't get away from Thrasios even here. Thrasios acts as a commander from the mainboard and our main method of finding wincons.

Timetwister

  • These are two cards that on their own can be disruptive to the opponents and help reset after things go south. It also notable goes well with Narset, Parter of Veils who we already run as a stax piece. Also great for Twister loops abusing Noxious Revival.

Oakhame Adversary

  • For those that do not know why this card is good in cEDH despite its mana cost its this. It is a 2/3 with deathtouch meaning it blocks many threats in the format such as Tymna the Weaver and can draw additional cards on attacking. While its better with Tymna the Weaver herself as a commander the benefit is high enough to run him regardless.
Boreal Druid -This is basically a worse Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic. It also doesn't help us accelerate out commander or pay for the activation cost.

Walking Ballista

  • This can essentially fill the same role as Finale of Devastation and Thassa's Oracle. The Ballista is a perfectly valid win condition for this deck, but adding in a third wincon would be redundant with Finale of Devastation being auto-included as a tutor. If you have a Walking Ballista and your in an anti-sushi hulk meta the ballista can make a perfect substitution.

Grim Monolith & Basalt Monolith

  • I have decided that running these 2 cards would be a detriment to the deck. Unlike Thrasios this deck cannot win off of infinite colorless mana alone(rightfully so). Along with these cards being 3cmc they come down to late and offer to little for the deck. Though they would go infinite with the commander and with Thrasios on the field win. Null rod also makes more of an impact than this would.

Vitalize

  • This card is good, but not that good in a deck that more easily wins through artifacts that mana dorks. While this could essentially be a High Tide in this deck (What sort of punctuation goes after "deck") it doesn't bring enough to the table to warrant its inclusion in the list unlike Dramatic Reversal.

Flash

  • If you wanna run Flask+Hulk so bad go back to your partner commanders they're clearly better for that.

Biomancer's Familiar & Training Grounds

  • These cards are honestly loose-more. They do not progress the board state or offer anything other than reducing the price of a mana outlet that we already plan to go infinite for anyways.
This is the first ever deck I created with the direct idea of publishing alongside being my first primer. Note primers are not meant to be take fully but to be modified to your meta's needs. Overall, I feel this commander is extremely strong and something I personally wanted in Simic for a while. There may be some great includes for the deck or things that should be taken out. If you have any opinions or concerns leave a comment because with this commander being so newly spoiled I don't think the deck will be solved so soon.
