Some one who knows what they're doing? Lol why does evert one assume people will just ignore the only card in standard that untapped a permanent? It's not a waste if you get rid of the key to their deck. And I know not everyone runs red but there's more removal then in just red. But ya I'd recommend going more of a control route and add more protection for your guys.

in the first game it shouldent be a problem. cause they probly dont know what you're trying to do. (also most people are playing agrro/midrange with very little removal) thats when u side in more hexproof

kinda why i suggested Alpha Authority because it costs the same a the Simic Charm and stays on it forever. meaning they will only be able to use mass removal on it. im not saying main deck it but i think having a few in the side vs heavy removal will help

How useful would Bow of Nylea be? It would serve as an alternate win-con (infinite Life is hard to beat) and a swiss army knife. Aggro deck? Gain life? Mill deck? Hah! Army of fliers? No prob! Also, a 1-Billion/ 1-Billion Elvish Mystic would be pretty lulzy. Eh, just a thought.

Verdant Haven can be used to double the mana you get from untapping a land, and it provides some life gain. I wish green or blue had a mana sink to kill your opponents.

I know you'd have to splash black for it, but I think Diabolic Tutor would be really useful here.

hey i just noticed another win condition this deck can pull off if you remove a copy of Fated Infatuation with your Elite Arcanist you can keep making token creatures. just an idea for you if things get tight in a game and you need to pull off some tricks. heck you can even make MORE elite arcanists and copy even MORE spells in your hand!

Since you get infinite untaps, why not add some cards with the inspire mechanic? +1

what's funny is that the MOMENT I saw this card when it was spoiled I told my friend "dude I can win games with this!" and he said "explain your point" and this is EXACTLY the example I gave him, not a minute after seeing this card I thought this up and it makes me SO happy that someone else thought up the same thing, when he showed me your deck I laughed my ass off.

@MangoPunch I'm 99.9% sure that when the Illusionist's Bracers say "you may choose new targets for this ability" it's not saying you can't choose Kiora's Follower . So, In fact, 1 Kiora, 1 Bracer, 1 Codex Shredder = GG infinite combo.

With my previous comment that means you really only need to get 3 pieces out. I suggest Bane Alley Broker , Underworld Connections , or Sphinx's Disciple as outlets to draw cards using tap/untap abilities. This deck also wouldn't hurt for Springleaf Drum as a way to create infinite mana which can go towards Sphinx's Revelation in your card draw.

With all that searching going on it will be important to keep your Kiora's Follower safe from removal and Pithing Needle so you're going to want a full suite of countermagic available in Dissolve and Syncopate

well it all depends on how they would rule the copy of the ability. If the game recognizes the copy of the ability coming from the bracers, or the follower. Because if it comes from the bracers it would mean you can untap any other permanant then the bracers but if it comes from the follower it would be any other permanant then the follower. You might be able to say the copy is coming from the bracers so you just cant untap the bracers with the copied ability and untap the follower. thats a tough rulling that a high level judge would need to rule on.

well i looked it up and yes you need 2 followers to do the combo. 706.10b A copy of an ability has the same source as the original ability. If the ability refers to its source by name, the copy refers to that same object and not to any other object with the same name. The copy is considered to be the same ability by effects that count how many times that ability has resolved during the turn.

My only suggestion is +4 Fog -2 Swan Song -2 Cyclonic Rift as this would slow down aggro decks and give you more time to go infinite...especially when combined with Elite Arcanist :)

well it been a long time since i visited this deck. i did so testing with this deck. i found a few problems. elite arcanist dies way to quickly. i tried it vs 5 types of decks and the Arcanists all died. also i made this into a modern combo and i tested it at fnm. this accually seemed to work! i pulled first place. im gonna be looking around to find ways that you could improve this deck

Rabid_Wombat aggro shouldn't be an issue with his current setup, cyclonic rift, retraction helix and simic charm are all good to bounce stuff back, but fog just buys a turn, hopefully this combo will be going off by turn 5, or 6, I think swan song is great (although any counter spell would do) because against most deck's there's going to be a good amount of removal, or at least SOME, which fog doesn't offer protection against, maybe fog would be better off sideboarded. Something always to consider in order to protect your stuff, which always seems overlooked, Oak Street Innkeeper , but then I would also recommend AEtherize because you can tap out and lure your opponent into swinging, and then poof haha

If in the description you play a Forest + Elvish mystic turn 1

and Island Turn 2 would decrease amount of turns needed.

I like how this combo can do so many things if you hit it. If you exile Quicken from your hand with Elite Arcanist , then once you hit the combo, you have achieved omniscience. If they don't have an answer at that point, you win the game. I also think Fog may be a viable option, as well as the counter spell Dispel . Overall, I like the deck, and think this build does what it needs to.

I decided to go more for the control combo route than the pure combo route. You should check it out. tell me what you think. Bant Brain Blender!!!
