THE KITCHEN TABLE COLLECTION

Each deck in this series was built on this single concept: starting with bottom barrel cards that could be sourced from CardKingdom.com in order to build a deck worthy of champions. In order to keep cost to minimum, none of the decks were built with a sideboard, and were all streamlined for a singular yet balanced strategy in order to be effective against a wide range of other deck types.

GREEN MACHINE

This deck went through many many revisions when it was playtested against an Azorius Spirits deck. After trying out different themes, such as Elves, Bears, Wolves, and Hydras. Nothing really seemed to stick except for the Whiptongue Hydra, which I found to be useful against any deck that ran with a lot of weenie flyers (like Azorius Spirits or Faeries). Having gone back to the drawing board, I decided to try and craft a mono green deck that was pretending to be UW midrange/control deck. It achieves this with threat removal cards like Lignify, Ram Through, and the surface-to-air missile that is Nylea's Intervention. One of my favorite spells in this deck has to be Scale the Heights, which is useful no matter what stage of the game you're in. Apart from that, Bond of Flourishing can help you grab your Gigantosaurus and Nessian Boar or a land if needed. One of the not-so-obvious tricks this deck has up its sleeve is that the lands can help you mount an offense all on their own. The Khalni Garden can drop a 0/1 Plant token, which can then get buffed up by Llanowar Reborn and Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, and just for giggles a Rancor too.
