Planeswalker (2)

White weenie has done decent in Theros. With this new bad ass cat, aka Leonidas, we are off to a new start in dealing with the mono-devotion decks out there. The idea here is to build up efficient creatures and enchantments, throw an Ethereal Armor on them, and swing in for lethal. We do not need plainswalkers. We do not need monster creatures. This is not madness. THIS IS SPARTA.

Now the players:

Everyone's Favorite Favored Hoplite = Early beater. Strong heroic mechanic. Utilize him with an early Ordeal of Thassa, Heliod, or what have you and grab the desired effect.

Hero of Iroas = Our bread and butter. He has a solid body, heroic trigger, and makes all of our enchantment auras cheaper to cast. What does this mean? A cheap, effective bear that will make the pumping of our later-game heroes all that much easier.

Fabled Hero = The dude. Holy mantle this guy and you are swinging for 10/10, requiring double blocks. He WILL eat removal. This is why Brave the Elements and Gods Willing are in place. Now mind you, there is flexibility in this guy. We appreciate that removal will come, but you are in the unique position of letting him die 1 for 1. This is because our MVP-role is held by this guy and

Brimaz, King of Oreskos = KING. Simba with a sword. The blue kilt/scarf was not included in the Disney movie, but we are okay with that. This guy, much like Fabled Hero, needs to be addressed. If not, haha well, there will be too many kittens on the field and no balls of yarn will be safe.

Precinct Captain = Solid 2/2, token generator and devotion booster for Nykthos. Tokens, paired with Spear of Heliod become formidable. If nothing else, serves as a lightning rod for removal spells.

Soldier of the Pantheon = Just a solid 1 cmc drop. Useful in nearly every situation.

Holy Mantle = Hard hitter that will put you past many blockers. I would leave this equip until I find Fabled Hero or Brimaz however, as they are our win-cons.

Ethereal Armor = Self-explanatory.

Brave the Elements & Gods Willing = Spot protection and/or game finishers.

Ordeal of Heliod = Cheap aura as well, especially if Hero of Iroas is on the field. Combine this with the new Soulbound aura (BNG that places x +1/+1 counters on the enchanted creature, determined by the amount of health you gained this turn), nets +13/+13 on your second attack.

Spear of Heliod = Enchantment, once again..we get it already! Haha but the +1/+1 will pump cat tokens, bring creatures out of Drown in Sorrow range, and serve as a last ditch effort to kill off any attacker(s).

Soul Tithe = CHEAP means of locking down an opponent's mana and/or creature. With Hero out, this is a 1 cmc means of addressing any bombs or Gods the opponent is trying to utilize.

Pacifism & Arrest = Our own form of control. MBD has kill spells. MUD has bounce spells. Azorius places with Detention Spheres and what not. We utilize auras to lock down problems. Use Pacifism for simple threats like Desecration Demon and Arrest for those obnoxious ability-creatures like Pack Rat.

And now on to the Sideboard:

Rootborn Defenses = Board wipe consideration. Nothing wrong with populating kittens.

Banisher Priest = Strong against opposing bombs.

Pacifism & Arrest = A few more in case GR monsters or other heavy creature oriented decks are giving you problems.

Imposing Sovereign = Bane of aggro decks.

Heliod, God of the Sun = Incase we get into a midrange game.

Pithing Needle = Planeswalkers are annoying.

Renounce the Guilds = Another answer to those folks that decide Blood Baron should be in the game.

Spirit of the Labyrinth = Excellent against draw mechanics. No kidding. Underworld Connections and Sphinx's Revelation

Updates Add

Dropped the blue splash to keep it mono white. More reliable in mana draws, and curves out more effectively.
