Cruel Ultimatum because it has to be.
Tasigur, the Golden Fang, a turn 2 or 3 4/5 is always nice and Grim Lavamancer is ok, you do mill yourself a bit and your graveyard fills up fast so they kind of combo each other. Snapcaster Mage because you have a lot of spells to flashback
Young Pyromancer produces a fair amount of tokens due to the high amount of spells in this deck. similar to Delver of Secrets
Batterskull is kind of like that creature that will not die to Doom Blade's or Path to Exile
Thought Scour, Think Twice, Forbidden Alchemy are your draw and search cards, them also help fuel your late game I do not like though scour, but nothing else lets you play a turn 2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang.you can run Anticipate over Think Twice. Its like, Anticipate digs deeper to find a card you want, but Think Twice has that flashback, it works really well with all the self milling sometime; so its preference.
Lightning Bolt and Terminate are decent removal, but I would not mind a classic Doom Blade
counter spells - Spell Snare I dont like it, but it seems to work most of the time.
Mana Leak
usually they can not pay 3, Remand its not really a counter spell, its more a tempo control. but you can always remand your own spells back to your hand if there is a threat that some up. Cryptic Command it a card
Keranos, God of Storms is again like a late game thing, casting a Lighting Bolt or a Reach Through Mist every turn is not bad, its just slow. But this is a slow deck and he can help win games
The same can be said about Cruel Ultimatum it is a great card, but it costs 7 mana so good luck.
fetch lands, shock lands, some basic lands are good, and that one good man-land in blue-black-red
