KLD Affinity - Metalwork Colossus

Standard* Affinity UR (Izzet)

Sideboard

Initial Build based upon Deck #3 @ http://www.channelfireball.com/articles/20-standard-brews-with-kaladesh-1-10/

Decided to switch to Izzet for Herald of Kozilek.

Sideboard is designed for more control and/or ways to deal with stalled board states.

I think I need some more instant speed artifact removal, any suggestions?

Updates Add

Did a major overhaul of sideboard prior to event adding in Anticipate, Negate, and Ceremonious Rejection in anticipation of needing card draw and vehicle hate. Also, mainboarded 2x Hanweir Battlements  Meld for Aether Hub to give vehicles/Metalwork Colossus haste when needed. Mana base seems to be strong enough not to need the 1-time mana fixing that Aether Hub provides.

Match 1 vs G/? Energy

Result 2 - 0

Opponent was running late and so match didn't start on time, however that didn't seem to matter as we were still the first ones done. He never got a chance to attack me as I flooded the board early with Metalwork Colossuses. I cast 7 Metalwork Colossuses over the course of the 2 games (around 14 turns in total).

Match 2 vs U/B Metalwork Emerge/Affinity

Result 0 - 2

Pseudo-Mirror match against a pro-tour guy who as he put it "just threw a deck together." I missed half my land drops over the 2 games. Casting Glint-Nest Crane added insult to injury pulling 3 lands and Cultivator's Caravan (that I couldn't cast) both times I played it. Both games that was the only land in the top 20 of my 60 cards (outside of my initial hand).

Match 3 vs R/W Vehicles

Result 2 - 0

This was a fun match and was the match up I was expecting to see all night. This particular version seemed to be missing some of the speed that the pro-tour version has. It helped that my deck decided to curve perfectly this round and I didn't miss a mana drop. Game 1 reached a board state with both of us flooded with creatures and his vehicles balanced out my Metalwork Colossuses. I knew the long game kills R/W Vehicles so I waited him out (praying he didn't Fumigate). I cast a Gearseeker Serpent and put him on a 4-turn clock. Game 2 I sideboarded in 2x Barrage Tyrants for an additional way to get around a stalled board state. Managed to cast/crew/haste a Skysovereign, Consul Flagship in a single turn to deal 3 damage twice and remove any fliers he had. This put the board state massively in my favor. I got him down to 5 life and cast a Barrage Tyrant, used it to crew my Skysovereign, Consul Flagship, and then flung it at him. Not quite as satisfying as flinging a train, but still a fun way to win.

Match 4 vs U/R Metalwork Affinity

Result 2 - 1

An almost perfect mirror match. He was running some big eldrazi and Thought-Knot Seers for additional Sanctum of Ugin targets. I lost game 1, so I sideboarded in Anticipate and Ceremonious Rejection for draw and control which made all the difference. Games 2 and 3 I kept the board state even with the little bit of control I had until I got a Gearseeker Serpent out.

Overall deck ran extremely well. Gearseeker Serpent was the clear MVP of the day (I still can't believe it is a common). I am considering throwing in Elder Deep-Fiend, Thought-Knot Seer, and/or splashing black for Scrapheap Scrounger and Transgress the Mind.
