Eater of Days ? I know you said that you turned down two other 4cmc cards, but this one is an artifact that your tutors can search for, is unbelievably beefy, and it has flying and trample.

And the Gaea's Cradle can make the mana cost quite realistic for you.

But here's the problem matbyrne, I won't always get the Gaea's Cradle out, and in legacy, a dead card card like that kills me. Sure you might argue that, Phyrexian Negator is a dead card without the mask or the orb out, but I have back-up plans. Beastmaster Ascension allows me to sac any of my cheerios to play the thing. And the other thing to consider, I have tutors for my orbs and masks where I don't have tutors for my cradle. Also, Eater of Days requires two pieces for it to work, as I rarely have more than 3-4 mana in the effectiveness of one game when I don't have the cradle, and I want to be playing more than one spell on any given turn thanks to Sylvan Library .
Also, what does Eater of Days do that none of my current cards do? I have a flyer, I have a trampler, I have negative ETB's that I can actually pay if I have to, and all for cheaper.
The final arguement I would have for this is the numbers. What would I remove for that? Even swapping one card for another one in this deck drastically changes the chances of getting numerous cards. This deck has gotten to the same point my Kor Legions has, where I'm pretty much shooting down everyone's suggestions because they don't cut it. I appreciate you trying to help though and have playtested that card to see if it was worth it, but sadly it wasn't.

Would Nature's Claim be better than Krosan Grip ? Not sure if the life gain hurts you too much, or if you really need that split second, but a lower mana cost is usually a good thing.
Also, the kobalds (Crimson Kobolds / Crookshank Kobolds / Kobolds of Kher Keep ) might be worth considering if you wanted to cut your Frontline Medic count so Beastmaster Ascension activates faster (or even to negate the amount of artifact hate you have to watch out for, if it is that prevalent).

Wow I really like the way you constructed this. Cleaver and deadly. +1
Mind taking a look at two of mine? I feel like they are missing something.

Very nice man I'd suggest ridding Beastmaster Ascension as it is waaaaaay to slow for this deck and replace it with maybe Llanowar Augur or Might of Old Krosa

at least one of these lands needs to be an artifact land so that you can search for it with Enlightened Tutor

Too slow, not an artifact or enchantment (meaning I can't tutor for it) and has no evasion as a creature, so it does not go in. Nice try though lil_cheez.

Hey man, I commented here a long time ago and just came back to check it out. I have a few questions though.
What is the point of all of the 0 cmc creatures? Beastmaster shouldn't be the only reason.
The second reason you have them in here should be for Glimpse of Nature . That shit will for sure draw you at least one copy of beast master or phyrexian. You should be running 4 Glimpse of Nature .
Imagine: T1 drop 2 zero drops and play Gaea's Cradle , tap and play 2 Glimpse of Nature , drop 2 more and draw 4 cards, drop 2 more and draw 4 cards. Let's just be pessimistic and say you started hitting a lot of non-0-drops. Now you drop a Mox Opal and then Enlightened Tutor to search for Torpor Orb end of opponents turn. on T2 you have a lot of mana and your win cons on the field.
My question to you is, why would you not want to run this card?

I have another copy brewing that already solves all your questions Dreno33. This one will probably either stay as it is (I removed the Scythe Tiger s and Frontline Medic s for more consistent Beastmaster Ascension wins), or turn to junk hate-bear/death and taxes or go Naya zoo.
Not releasing that copy just yet, I have more things to worry about with the card image database and having to fix Vintage Masters and Conspiracy by scratch. Not too mention we are in spoiler season for Khans of Tarkir and Commander 2014.
The general statistic for it though are this: Simic colours with 8 effective copies of Glimpse of Nature and 3 of each of the following Brainstorm , Retract and Noxious Revival .

Oh. Hey. A comment. I've long since scrapped this deck, sorry. I didn't realize it was basically just a shittier form of cheerios.

Yep. Cheeri0s is strictly better. But still, you're on to something here. Trying this in Modern.
