I did some serious thinking about Frostburn Weird versus Nivix Cyclops at xephslayer's suggestion and decided that I agree after all, the Cyclops is the better choice for the deck. While the Weird is naturally easier to play in the early game, as it drags on, his ability will conflict with my two major moves: casting spells and using Niv-Mizzet's mana ability. In addition, Weird becomes more vulnerable to damage-based removal when I use his ability. Cyclops suffers from neither of these.
