Once Upon a Time there was a deck (or maybe two).

But that's a story of a time past(igur), and today we gather to sing the song of new, to praise the top predator on this Food Chain: Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger .

Gonti Food Chain was a good deck, by all means, but it's now a relic of the past. Since Gonti does not like to be dead, you had to find a way to coerce him into it, in the form of a sac outlet. Kroxa, however, likes to skate around the board with his ST hat, and thus kick-flipped his way to the top of the predation hierarchy.

Thanks to this hungri boi we have better slot efficience, without all those dead sac outlets, more redundancy, having access to Squee, and a better plan B (that's kinda usually faster than or plan A, but HEY if you're running this you don't care about being faster, you care about SENDING A FRICKIN' MESSAGE!).

So what are you waiting for? Hop on the hype train for SURELY THE BEST CARD SPOILED ON THEROS BEYONCE.

Welp, pretty straight forward, you just have to answer one single question first: Do any of my opponents have a Food Chain in their decks?
Then we're good. Praetor's Grasp the chain out of his or her food, Gamble / Entomb / Buried Alive Squee, the Immortal to grave (or Demonic Consultation / Tainted Pact either him or Eternal Scourge to oblivion, we care not), cast the (now yours) Food Chain and let the magic happen!
OH BOI THAT'S SAD. Try this question then: Are there any Jaceman or Thassa's Oracle to be stolen?
Then I bring you good news! We run both forbiden tutors, so if you steal a jaceman or oracle, you can go for a consult line with just one more tutor! This line is even arguably more efficient than food chain, but we're replacing a food chain deck, so we gotta do what we gotta do.
Then you have to ask another question for yourself: Why exactly I'm playing this deck? After a few minutes of intense Ponder you may reach the logical conclusion: I can still win. Our backup wincon is just Animate Dead / Necromancy / Dance of the Dead a Worldgorger Dragon for a whole lotta mana and cast our commander a few dozen times. That's it, really.
